2010 NFL Mock Draft: Sam Bradford No. 1, 49ers Reach for Jahvid Best
1. St. Louis Rams: QB Sam Bradford - Oklahoma
Sam Bradford looks to be the complete package for the St. Louis Rams. It's been a long time since "The Greatest Show on Turf" and the Rams' fans are just pining for those moments again.
2. Detroit Lions: DT Ndamukong Suh - Nebraska

The Detroit Lions select the best player in the draft, Ndamukong Suh of Nebraska. With free agents Corey Williams and Kyle Vanden Bosch, the Lions' defensive line could be one of the most dominant in 2010.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DT Gerald McCoy - Oklahoma
The Buccaneers were dead-last in run defense last season. They select the best available defensive tackle, Gerald McCoy. McCoy fills the defensive tackle position the Buccaneers have been lacking in since the departure of Warren Sapp.
4. Washington Redskins: OT Russell Okung - Oklahoma State
Washington just recently traded for Donovan McNabb. Mcnabb was injured almost every year in Philadelphia. At age 33, the Redskins are going to need to protect McNabb. They select the best offensive lineman in the draft.
5. Kansas City Chiefs: OT Bryan Bulaga - Iowa
The Chiefs' offensive line hasn't been the same since the days of Will Shields and Brian Waters. They attempt to go back to the glory days by drafting the next best offensive lineman: Bryan Bulaga. Also, let it be known that I am aware that Brian Waters is still with the Chiefs.
6. Seattle Seahawks: S Eric Berry - Tennessee
The Seahawks ranked in the bottom three of pass defense last season. They draft Eric Berry, one of the best defensive backs to come out of college, and I'm not just saying that because my friend is a Tennessee Volunteers' fan.
7. Cleveland Browns: DE Derrick Morgan - Georgia Tech
The Cleveland Browns replace Corey Williams with the strong and quick Derrick Morgan. Though the Browns were in the top half in the league in sacks, they suffered in overall pass defense. The best way to improve the pass defense is to improve the pass rush.
8. Oakland Raiders: OT Trent Williams - Oklahoma
As a Raiders fan, I purposely did not pick Bruce Campbell because, well, he's not that great. The Raiders have many needs, such as offensive guard, offensive tackle and defensive tackle. They address offensive tackle by taking Trent Williams of Oklahoma.
9. Buffalo Bills: QB Jimmy Clausen - Notre Dame
The Trent Edwards project in Buffalo is over. The Bills are ready to move on and select Jimmy Clausen.
10. Jacksonville Jaguars: WR Dez Bryant - Oklahoma State
The Jaguars need a better passing offense. Mike Sims-Walker needs help and none of the other receivers are good enough. They select receiver Dez Bryant instead of reaching for a quarterback such as Tim Tebow or Colt McCoy.
11. Denver Broncos (From Bears): LB Rolando McClain - Alabama
With the departure of Andra Davis, the Broncos need an inside linebacker to complete their 3-4 defense. They select the best linebacker in the draft.
12. Miami Dolphins: DE Jason Pierre-Paul - South Florida
The Miami Dolphins lost pass-rusher Joey Porter this offseason and could possibly lose Jason Taylor to the Jets. They replace those pass-rushers by selecting Jason Pierre-Paul of South Florida.
13. San Francisco 49ers: CB Joe Haden - Florida
The 49ers have a good defensive backfield, but as their players get older, they'll need more young players to come in and learn from the veterans. Joe Haden of Florida falls to the 49ers and can learn from Nate Clements.
14. Seattle Seahawks (From Broncos): HB CJ Spiller - Clemson
The Seahawks need a legitimate halfback. Julius Jones has been on the decline, while Forsett and Ganther were not drafted to be the real deal, more as depth players.
15. New York Giants: LB Sean Weatherspoon - Missouri
With the departure of Antonio Pierce, the Giants will look for a good linebacker to replace him. They could possibly go after Oakland's Kirk Morrison, as he only has a third-round tender, but I see Morrison playing with the Silver and Black once again in 2010.
16. Tennessee Titans: DT Dan Williams - Tennessee
The Tennessee Titans have needed a defensive tackle since letting go of Albert Haynesworth. They should be happy that Tennessee native defensive tackle Dan Williams falls to them.
17. San Francisco 49ers (From Panthers): HB Jahvid Best - California
Now, the 49ers don't exactly need a running back after Gore put up another 1,000+ yard season. However, if you think about it, the 49ers' run game was very basic, where Gore would run up the middle and if he got lucky, he would break a few tackles. Jahvid Best is a type of player who can stretch the field by using his speed to get to the outside. The 49ers reach for Best, but it pays off by creating one of the better running back duos in the league.
18. Pittsburgh Steelers: OG Mike Iupati - Idaho
The Steelers have been longing for a dominant guard since they split with Alan Faneca. Pittsburgh fans should be thrilled that guard Mike Iupati is available, seeing as he's the top interior lineman of the draft.
19. Atlanta Falcons: DE Jared Odrick - Penn State
At 31, John Abraham has started to decline. We saw this first-hand as we watched his sack total of 16.5 in 2008 go to 5.5 in 2009. The Falcons take Odrick and he learns from Abraham until he can take over once Abraham is done.
20. Houston Texans: S Taylor Mays - Southern California
The Texans actually don't have many needs. They have one or two holes on their offensive line, but the guards and tackles left are not as skilled and would be somewhat of a reach. Their front seven on defense is one of the best, on paper. They select the hard-hitting Taylor Mays with the intent of drafting a cornerback in the second round.
21. Cincinnati Bengals: S Earl Thomas - Texas
The Cincinnati Bengals need a free safety to complete their defensive backfield that consists of Chinedum Ndukwe, Johnathan Joseph and Leon Hall. They take the best covering safety available, Earl Thomas.
22. New England Patriots: LB/DE Sergio Kindle - Texas
After being put on Injured Reserve for two consecutive seasons and accumulating an amazing zero tackles, Shawn Crable needs to go. The Patriots replace Crable by drafting the best LB/DE available, Sergio Kindle of Texas.
23. Green Bay Packers: LB/DE Jerry Hughes - Texas Christian
After converting to the 3-4 defensive scheme, the Packers tried to put Aaron Kampman at outside linebacker. That failed quite miserably, if you ask me. Since then, Kampman has gone off to play for Jacksonville, leaving a hole in the Packers' defense. They fill that void by selecting 3-4 linebacker Jerry Hughes of TCU.
24. Philadelphia Eagles: CB Kyle Wilson - Boise State
The Eagles need a second cornerback to play along with Asante Samuel since Ellis Hobbs and the others aren't exactly stepping up. Eagles select Kyle Wilson, second best cornerback prospect.
25. Baltimore Ravens: DE Brandon Graham - Michigan
If the Ravens select Brandon Graham of Michigan, they could move Haloti Ngata to inside so that he can play nose tackle. With a nucleus of Trevor Price, Terrell Suggs, and Graham, the Ravens could cause a lot of problems with their three down lineman only.
26. Arizona Cardinals: OT Anthony Davis - Rutgers
The Cardinals need an offensive tackle to play right tackle and protect Matt Lienart's blind side. Jeremy Bridges is not the real deal. Like most teams, the Cardinals won't call for Bruce Campbell's great combine workout and select the fourth best available lineman, Anthony Davis.
27. Dallas Cowboys: OT Bruce Campbell - Maryland
Since the release of Flozell Adams, the Cowboys are stuck with no one to protect Tony Romo's blind side. At this point, it's not so much of a reach to take Bruce Campbell.
28. San Diego Chargers: DT Brian Price - California; Los Angeles
The San Diego Chargers released their long time nose tackle Jamal Williams. Sticking with the local boys, the Chargers take Brian Price, defensive tackle of UCLA (who I love by the way). If this happens, it's unfortunate that I have to see him play the Raiders twice a year.
29. New York Jets: WR Golden Tate - Notre Dame
As much as Jets fan hate it—well just the one I know—the Jets will consider taking Golden Tate and the chances of drafting him aren't that slim. Yes, they still have Jerricho Cotchery, who has some of the better hands in the league, but his contract is up in a few years, and when that happens, I don't see the Jets reaching a new deal with him.
30. Minnesota Vikings: C/G Maurkice Pouncey - Florida
It's been a while since the days when Steve Hutchinson and Matt Birk dominated the inside of the trenches. Presently, Matt Birk is gone and Hutchinson is 32. With a rebuilding plan, the Vikings take the second best interior lineman in the draft.
31. Indianapolis Colts: DT Terrence Cody - Alabama
The Colts slightly reach for defensive tackle Terrence Cody, but by doing so, they fill a much needed hole. Terrence Cody is one of those players who needs two to three players to stop him, which makes it easier for Freeney and Mathis to come off the edge for a sack.
32. New Orleans Saints: DE Everson Griffen - Southern California
All of the Saints' defensive ends are 27 or older. They need someone who is young with a good motor. In last year's playoffs, the Saints only sacked the quarterback once, though they did hit Favre and Warner a whole lot. With not much holes on their team, the pick is easy for New Orleans.
