On Sunday the Cleveland Browns traded Brady Quinn to The Broncos for Fullback/Halfback Peyton Hillis, a sixth round pick & a conditional 2012 pick

What's my opinion of this trade? It was a great trade for the Broncos. Really stupid for the Browns! Quinn actually did pretty well with what he had. The Browns took over 10 games to get a rushing touchdown! Their young receivers kept dropping passes. They started him the first three games and then benched him. Then it took six games to put him back as the starter after Derek Anderson was playing like Jamarcus Russell. His o-line was terrible and the offensive play calling stunk. They had Braylon Edwards, Donte Stallworth, & Kellen Winslow and after they went the browns got worse. One of the reasons Derek Anderson was at a pro bowl level was the weapons around him. You take that away and then you have the second worse passer rating in the league. All good or great quarterbacks need weapons. Look three of the best quarterbacks in the league Tom Brady,Drew Brees, Peyton Manning. Brady has Welker & Randy Moss. Brees has a number of weapons, almost too many to count. Manning has Wayne, Garcon, Collie, & Clark who are all great receivers. The Browns receivers barely helped at all. Quinn is young quarterback and you just don't give away young quarterbacks with potential.

Now this trade was almost a prefect fit for Denver. You have Josh McDaniels who helped Tom Brady get a record 50 Touchdowns in the 07-08 season. Also who can forget the job he did with Matt Cassell when Tom Brady got hurt in the first game of the season. In his first season as the head coach for the Broncos McDaniels earlier in the season made Kyle Orton look like an MVP candidate. Which is really impressive considering that Kyle Orton was a nobody in Chicago. McDaniels can help  Brady Quinn reach his potential and make him a great quarterback like he has done with the others I have mentioned. The Broncos have the weapons like Brandon Marshall who i think will still be in denver, Eddie Royal, Jabar Gaffney, & Tony Scheffler. The Broncos may not have Jerome Harrison but they do have Knowshawn Moreno who led all rookies in rushing last year.

There is only one Question. Is Quinn gonna start?

I think he will. Chris Simms, to me, never had a chance against Kyle Orton. But i think Quinn will be the starter when the regular season begins. The Broncos failed to make the playoffs last year but with San Diego falling I think Denver will have a chance next year. I expect the Broncos to do real well this upcoming draft.
