Superbowl time is here again...number has it been that long since the greatest game in football has started??? Anyway this year just like any other year in Superbowl history 2 teams still stand. One team will lose and fall short of the goal and the other team will be labeled the best team in the NFL for the 2009 season. The 2 teams that stand alone atop of the other 30 teams that will be watching the big game from home are the Colts and the Saints. Lets take a look at these two teams shall we.

The Indianapolis Colts:

4 time league MVP QB Peyton Manning leads this team each day in practice and each weekend vs their opponents. Huge name players like Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, Gary Brackett, and many others make this team what it is today...former Superbowl Champs and in my opinion newly crowned Superbowl Champions. What this team has done this year, comming back to win games behind in the 4th quarter 8 times this season is unreal. Teams in this league shouldn't be able to do that, but these guys can. Led by rookie Head Coach Jim Caldwell and seasoned coaches on the sidelines makes this team hard to beat with one arm tied behind their backs.

The New Orleans Saits:

Drew Brees...what can be said against that guy, one of the top QB's in the NFL right now...he had an amazing season this year putting up record games week in and week out. A very stout defense that didn't allow a lot of points, and  game changing player in Reggie Bush, Bush who can run just a good as he can catch a ball. This team may not have looked good going down the back half of the season but they got the job down when it needed to be done. Fighting off a huge challenge last Sunday againts the Vikings leading them to a battle with the Colts in Miami.

Both teams have earned a spot in this final game, but like I said only one team can be called the winner and the best. I think this game is going to be a high scoring game with both teams having weak spots in the Defense but having a solid Offense. It may come down to what team makes the fewest mistakes or it could come down to who has the ball last. My prediction...Colts-38...Saints-31.  Peyton Manning will be named the MVP of Superbowl XLIV. As a Colts fan I hope my prediction is right...I hope this game goes down in NFL history as one of the best ever played...we will all see on Sunday, Febuary 7, 2010 in Miami, FL. and as always...GO COLTS!!!
