Two teams that went perfect until a late season collapse. Two teams with a high-powered offense and a mediocre defense. And two teams with the best QBs in the league about to face off in what will be one of the greatest Super Bowl's of all time.
With the Saints overtime win over the Vikings, the Saints are riding a wave of momentum. Yes, they are lucky that Brett Favre threw an interception on a play which could have easily won them the game. Yes, they weren't playing their best. But the only thing that matters is that they are in the Super Bowl.
The Colts have cruised through the playoffs so far. Relying on Peyton Manning's leadership, the Colts have destroyed the Baltimore Ravens and taken out a pesky Jets squad. The Colts are looking stronger than ever and are the favorites to win Super Bowl XLIV.
If the Saints want to win this game, they will have to win it by taking advantage of the Colts mediocre defense. Drew Brees and Marques Colston are a dominant combo at QB-WR, but Brees has other weapons and must use them all. The Saints also must involve Reggie Bush in the game, as he has played much better than Pierre Thomas.
If the Colts want to win this game, they will have to step up on defense. We all know that the Colts offense is more than capable. When we watch Manning play football, we are witnessing history. Yes, that's how good he is.
This is going to be a Super Bowl for the ages, and we are all eagerly waiting for February 7 to arrive. I know I can't wait.
