Buffalo Bills: Are We Thinking About Doing This Again?
Another year has passed and the Buffalo Bills have finished with a miserable year after having very high expectations in the firing of Dick Jauron and the entire coaching staff.
While Bills' fans are on the edge of their seats waiting for the ESPN NEWS ticker to read BREAKING NEWS: Bill Cohwer agrees to become the Head Coach of the Buffalo Bills, the likelihood of that happening appears very slim.
So who are the other potential coach candidates?

We have all heard the rumors of Leslie Frazier, Brian Schottenheimer, and now Russ Grimm. I will agree with most people and say that any of these three would be an improvement over Jauron. But I raise the question for all fellow Bills fans: Is this the route were again going?
Since the Hall of Fame Coach Marv Levy left Buffalo in 1997 let's take a look at past Buffalo Coaches:
Wade Phillips 1998-2000 Record (29-19) Playoffs (0-2), previously a Defensive Coordinator
Gregg Williams 2001-2003 Record (17-30) Playoffs (N/A), previously a Defensive Coordinator
Mike Mularkey 2004-2005 Record (14-18) Playoffs (N/A), previously a Tight Ends Coach
Dick Jauron 2006-2009 Record (24-33) Playoffs (N/A), previously a Defensive Coordinator and five years as a Head Coach with one playoff appearance
As a fan who understands the game, I get every coach has to start somewhere. However, look at the Bills' track record since Levy left.
Is it possible that Buffalo may be going down the same road again for the 12th year in a row? When hiring a defensive coordinator as a head coach, how do you know that they're going to succeed?
I am certainly not here to say that these guys shouldn't get the job because it has been proven that a rookie coach can in fact get the job done (see Rex Ryan and John Harbaugh as previous defensive coordinators, now head coaches).
Obviously in the past the Bills have failed miserably, but I have my fingers crossed that a great football decision will be made and bring back hope to western New York.
Once again I am not Buddy Nix; I can't make the coaching decision, but after years of misery without the playoffs, without a solid QB, we are all looking for a bright future.
I hope Nix chooses the right guyāwhether that is Frazier, Schotty, or Grimmāwe will have to wait and see.
