Cowboys-Eagles: Who Has More To Lose in NFC Playoff Game
While much talk in Philadelphia has been about whether Donovan McNabb will be back, the future of the Eagles' quarterback, and the McNabb-Andy Reid era, the Cowboys have much more at stake: the future of Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Wade Phillips.
Despite a 33-15 record and two NFC East titles in three years as head coach, he is in a Joe Torre-Yankees quandary: How many championships do you have?
None. The Cowboys are also 0-1996 in playoff wins.

Neither Phillips, as Head Coach, nor Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has won a playoff game.
A Cowboy loss, following the 24-0 drubbing of the Eagles at the last regular season game on Jan. 3, could spell an exit for Phillips.
A story on SI.com said that Cowboy owner Jerry Jones was non-committal when asked about Phillips' future as Cowboys head coach. But somebody has to pay for that 60 yard long and 72 foot tall television screen in the new Cowboy stadium.
A Supe win will bring in more revenue to the team in ticket pricing and merchandising. But he who needs to win more does not always win football games. A balanced run-pass and a strong defense win football games.
The Cowboys have both factors, while the Eagles, despite winning six games in a row up to the Jan. 3 game, are hot and cold in those areas.
One thing both teams have is pride. It will be a closer game than last week and the Eagles might play well enough to win the game. But unless the Eagles get to Quarterback Romo to disrupt his game, the Cowboys will win.
That pains me as an Eagles fan to say it. I hope I am wrong. Dallas has more chips on the table and a gun-shooter's eye.
Prediction: Dallas 27, Eagles 24
