TNA: Could We See Jeff Hardy Start an OMEGA Stable with Matt?

The Doctor Chris MuellerJan 5, 2010

Back in October I wrote an article asking WWE to have an OMEGA stable.

Now with Will Howard reporting that Matt Hardy and Hurricane Helms may be requesting their release from the WWE, we could see this happen.

I have decided to repost most of the original article with a few changes to it.

Now that TNA has Jeff Hardy and Shannon Moore, and with Will's report, I figured it was appropriate to mention this again.

As most wrestling fans know by now, Matt and Jeff Hardy owned and ran a pro wrestling organization known as OMEGA, which stands for Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts. Many current and former WWE/TNA talents got their start with the Hardys in OMEGA.

At one point there were five OMEGA alums in WWE at the same time: Matt, Jeff, Shannon Moore, Gregory “Shane” Helms, and Joey Mercury. So I ask, why did WWE miss out on the opportunity to have a naturally formed stable? Having these five guys, who have wrestled together for over a decade, all be in one stable would have been great for the WWE.

Guys like Mercury and Moore weren’t recognized for their excellent talent while performing in the WWE, despite having the experience and skill. I think that TNA should bring in Shannon, Joey, and Jeff all at once and form the OMEGA stable. They would be the most popular stable in the TNA by far. Then have Matt and Helms join up later on.

Think about it—Jeff and Matt are so popular when they are together, and with Helms and Moore with them, they could be the best thing TNA has ever had. The Hardys are known worldwide for their exciting matches and innovation in the business. Jeff's signing was huge for TNA, and if they get the rest of the OMEGA crew, we could see some big changes to TNA soon.

Everyone loves Matt and Jeff, people seem to want the Hurricane to have more success, and Joey and Shannon need to be back in the picture. They could feud with World Elite or any number of other wrestlers in TNA.

The WWE had the opportunity to have a very lucrative stable of wrestlers, and they missed out. Maybe in the future we will have a chance of seeing these guys together again—maybe in TNA?

Since Will Howard is the first to report this info, I figured it was only fair to post his article talking about this. Check it out.
