Cowboys, Maybe This Year.

The Dallas cowboys have failed to win a playoff game in 10 years. This drought that America's Team has been a part of is well documented. Year after year the Cowboys have fallen short. When Dave Campo was head coach the boys didn't even come close to the playoffs. The Cowboys did get to watch there hated rivals the Eagles make several deep runs into the playoffs during these years. Finally help came in the form of a new coach! Bill Parcells would be the man to whip the cowboys into shape. The Cowboys made a little bit of progress but still no playoff victory! That's when Tony Romo came along. A quarterback from a small college who made big plays! He helped the boys to a 13-3 record and a first round bye in the 2007 season, only to disappoint all the Cowboy's fan once again. They lost to there hated rivals the New York giants. The New York Giants then went on to win the Superbowl that very year. After having a season to forget in 2008, the cowboys have fought back to the playoffs in 2009! After 10 years of disappointment and horrible playoff performances and just flat out disgusting showings from the Cowboys,  What has so many dallas fans thinking and hoping, MAYBE THIS YEAR?

One of the main reasons that the Cowboys could be successful in these playoffs is Tony Romo. Romo has taken the weight of, one of the most well known franchises in sporting history, and put it all on his shoulders. Romo needs to play well in order for the Dallas Cowboys to win a superbowl. He has been playing well this year. Romo has usually faded once he reached december, not this year. Romo has played better in december then any other month. He helped lead the Dallas Cowboys in to New Orleans where they beat the undefeated Saints in a impressive performance. The next week the Cowboys shut out The Redskins there division Rivals. The better play of Tony Romo has brought many Cowboy's fans hope.

Dallas fans felt there season slipping away when the Kansas City Chiefs where beating them in week 5 at arrow head stadium. This is when Miles Austin made his grand appearance! he set a cowboys record in receiving yards and scored the game winning touchdown in OT! Miles didn't stop there he kept on playing well all year long and ended up with over 10 touchdowns and 1,000 receiving yards! Miles Austin has the Cowboy fans saying "maybe this year"

DeMarcus Ware was carted of the field in the 4Th quarter of week 14 when the Cowboys where playing the San Diego Chargers. It looked like he would be out for at least several games. He came back the very next week vs the Saints and he came back strong! That game he sacked and stripped Drew Brees not once but twice. The most important strip of Drew Brees came on the last play of the game when he sacked Brees and secured a Dallas Cowboys victory! DeMarcus Ware and the Dallas Cowboys defense has given all Cowboys fans a little bit of hope.

Anything can happen in the playoffs its like the start of a new season. Any of the 12 teams that make it could win if they get hot enough! The Cowboys come into this post season playing well. They have a chance to win the NFC east is they beat the Eagles the last regular season game of the year. All of this has me along with the rest of the Dallas Cowboys fans thinking "Maybe this year"
