Chad Ocho Cinco has emerged as the premier diva wide receiver in the league.  His funny antics are some of the most talked about events each week. This week he attempted to send the Pittsburgh Steelers packets of mustard (They play at Heinz field).  Last week he jokingly tried to bride a ref!

Once that bid fell through, Ocho decided to try something else, MMA.   The funny thing is, he doesn't just want to fight, he wants to fight the best...Literally!  Via Twitter, he asked UFC President Dana White for the chance to take on Anderson Silva.

To be honest, this fight will more than likely not happen...(Here is why)

Anderson Silva is not only the best 185 pound fighter in the world, he has made some of the best 205 pounders look bad!  It is safe to say that Anderson Silva is on everyone's top 5 pound for pound list.

Here is the Twitter conversation between Chad and Dana...

“Dana this Ocho Cinco, I want to fight your #1 and #2 best fighters asap, exhibition to raise money for a charity of choice!!!!!! … matter of fact I want Anderson Spider Silva—please don’t ignore me or you’ll have to fight me yourself!!! Sincerely Esteban :) … Mr. White this a serious matter, we can help alot organazations with this fight, I have a good chance at winning against Silva … Awesome! I’m fighting Anderson Silva-I can’t wait to throw my child please combo with a kiss da baby leg kick,Silva can shut the front door! … oh I’m dead serious, this will be one that goes down in history, Ocho defeats Silva in surprising upset, it’s on!!!”

In an unexpected move, Dana responded!

“If you are really serious @OGOchoCinco, contact me. We’ll put a fight together for charity…. I need a Jan 2nd fight. Ocho Cinco vs Anderson Spider Silva. PS – I’m too old to fight anyone.”

At first glance you would probably shrug this off thinking there is no chance and that this would be ridiculous.  I thought that too initially, but after much thought I changed my mind.  They should indeed put this on!

The reason for the fight is to raise money for a charity of choice.  The UFC has strong ties to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and an event put on for such a charity would be a great gesture.

The fight is rumored to take place (if it does) at UFC 108 on January 2nd.  This shouldn't just happen, it needs to happen.  The UFC makes between forty and fifty bucks per pay per view buy.  They are making tons of cash putting their fighters on display.  There is nothing wrong with doing a little charity.
