Aldon Smith Asks Judge to Reduce Child Support Payments Amid NFL Suspension
Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith requested a reduction in child-support payments after falling nearly $79,000 behind during his indefinite suspension from the NFL.
On Wednesday, TMZ Sports reported Smith said in court documents he's received no income since the ban began in November 2015.
A source told TMZ the 28-year-old Mississippi native "continues to live a lavish lifestyle" despite the lack of NFL paychecks and is merely "blowing off" the child support, however.

Smith filed for reinstatement in October 2016 but has yet to be cleared by the NFL to return to the Raiders' active roster. There's no timetable for a decision from the league.
In September, he reached a plea deal related to a 2015 DUI arrest, per TMZ Sports.
He pleaded no contest to hit-and-run and sentenced to 20 days in jail along with another 90 days for a probation violation, with all that time being served in a residential treatment facility. He was also ordered to take anger-management courses to get the DUI charge dropped.
Smith is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent when the new league year begins March 14.
The next court date for the child-support case is in May.
