Stephen Curry Says He'd Tell Kids to Throw the Ball at a Player with 0.1 Seconds
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry defended his decision to inbound the ball off Chicago Bulls guard David Nwaba's back at the end of the first quarter in Golden State's 119-112 win over the Bulls on Wednesday.
As seen in the following video courtesy of ESPN, Curry tossed the ball off Nwaba's back with 0.1 seconds remaining after Nwaba completed a dunk:

A fan on Twitter suggested Curry was setting a bad example for kids with the play, but the two-time NBA MVP disagreed:
Curry enjoyed another big game for the first-place Warriors on Wednesday with 30 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
In bouncing the ball off Nwaba's back, it ensured that the quarter would come to an end. Since a shot can't be taken in less than 0.3 seconds, however, Curry also could have simply passed the ball to a teammate without any risk.
Wednesday's play wasn't the first time Curry's sportsmanship was called into question this season. In October, he threw his mouth guard in the direction of a referee after a call he disagreed with.
Curry was ejected from the game and fined $50,000.
The 29-year-old veteran is enjoying another huge season with 27.7 points, 6.5 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game.
Golden State is favored to reach its fourth consecutive NBA Finals and to win its third title in four years with Curry at the helm, as it is an NBA-best 37-9 more than halfway through the season.
Editor's note: A previous version of this story said Curry faced no further discipline for throwing the mouth guard in October, but he was fined $50,000. He was also fined $25,000 for throwing his mouth guard during the 2016 NBA Finals. We regret the error.
