The 2017 International Champions Cup continues as Bayern Munich face Inter Milan in Singapore on Thursday.

Inter will provide a stiff test for the Bundesliga champions after a poor start to the pre-season saw the latter lose 4-0 to AC Milan.

However, Bayern were much sharper as they defeated Chelsea 3-2 on Tuesday.

Bayern did not start the pre-season in the correct fashion, and manager Carlo Ancelotti will be demanding a vast improvement from his star-studded squad.

Inter have been preparing their side while primary attacker Ivan Perisic has consistently been linked with a transfer to Manchester United. Per Alex Richards of the Mirror, Perisic could still join the Red Devils despite travelling to Singapore with the Nerazzurri.

The Italians defeated Lyon 1-0 in their opening game of the ICC, and their defensive organisation was apparent throughout.

Bayern conceded five in their first two pre-season friendlies, and there was a lack of intensity from the German champions in the matches against Arsenal and Milan.

However, as fitness levels rise, Ancelotti is likely to see his team find an extra gear in the coming weeks.

Inter are not a prolific side, but if they are offered opportunities from defensive errors, they have the talent available to exploit mistakes.

Bayern will have the edge on reputation alone, but Inter will counter-attack and cause mischief in the final third.

Prediction

It is difficult to call this match, with Bayern displaying inconsistencies not usually associated with their name.

Ancelotti recently recruited James Rodriguez on loan from Real Madrid, and his presence should add an increased threat for Der FCB.

Per Bayern's official English Twitter account, the manager explained why he wanted the Colombian superstar:

Both teams will be focused on providing minutes to most of their squad, but Bayern do not want the embarrassment of another defeat.

If the Germans find their verve in this game, as they did against Chelsea, they should grab victory at the expense of their opponent.

James was impressive against the English champions, and he will be a huge influence on the result against the Italians.
