The New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons are set to do battle in Super Bowl LI, but off the field, many bettors will be waging war against the sportsbooks, sweating what song Lady Gaga plays first at halftime or whether Luke Bryan is wearing a hat before he sings the national anthem.
Here are the latest odds and props (via OddsShark), with the focus on the latter.
Below you'll find a list of 10 props with some quick predictions for each. We'll go in chronological order, from the national anthem to the postgame Lombardi Trophy presentation.

Prop List
1. How Long Will It Take Luke Bryan to Sing the National Anthem?
| Time | Odds |
| Over 2:15 | -120 |
| Under 2:15 | -120 |
If you're looking to bet this prop, go to the videotape and do some research.
Luke Bryan frequently sings the national anthem over two minutes. His most recent recorded performance (that is available on YouTube) clocks in at 2:27 at US Bank Stadium (home of the Minnesota Vikings) last summer.
Provided you want to go off the most recent example, take the over. That's the guess here. Expect Bryan to go long and deliver an epic national anthem to start Super Bowl LI.
2. Team to Win the Coin Toss
| Team | Odds |
| New England Patriots | -105 |
| Atlanta Falcons | -105 |
It's highly inadvisable for you to bet money on this prop. It's obviously a 50-50 chance that a team wins a coin toss on any given day. We're just posting this here to let you know that coin-toss props exist.
In fact, you can also bet on whether the coin lands heads or tails, whether the team that wins the coin toss wins the game and whether the team that chooses heads or tails picks the correct side.
Again, avoid these props at all costs.
3. Team to Score First
| Team | Odds |
| New England Patriots | -125 |
| Atlanta Falcons | -105 |
4. First Touchdown Scorer (Top Five Listed)
| Player | Odds |
| Julio Jones | +750 |
| Devonta Freeman | +800 |
| Julian Edelman | +800 |
| LeGarrette Blount | +800 |
| Tevin Coleman | +1200 |
These two props go hand in hand. The Falcons do have better odds than the Patriots for scoring first, but the Pats are favored by three and have a better defense, allowing 250 points to the Falcons' 406-point mark this season.
Give the slight edge to the Pats to score first, then, in conjunction with taking Pats running back LeGarrette Blount at plus-800 to score the first touchdown.
Blount has scored 19 touchdowns in 18 games (including the postseason) this year, and this game is tailor-made for him to shine given the Falcons' porous run defense (ranked 29th in the NFL, per Football Outsiders DVOA).
5. Total Team Points in First Half: New England Patriots
| Points | Odds |
| Over 15 | -140 |
| Under 15 | +110 |
6. Total Team Points in First Half: Atlanta Falcons
| Points | Odds |
| Over 14.5 | -135 |
| Under 14.5 | +105 |
As good as both offenses have been this season, it's tempting to take the under.
The Patriots defense has two main strengths: It can cover the pass well, and it can stop the run. Rushing the passer is a problem, but the Pats have gotten by just fine on the first two.
As for Atlanta, it has vastly improved on defense in the second half of the season. It shut out the white-hot Packers offense for two-and-a-half quarters in the NFC Championship Game and has taken on a fast, hard-hitting identity.
The guess is that the Pats run early and often, milking the clock and leading to fewer scoring opportunities, while the Falcons struggle a little on offense as the Patriots look to take wide receiver Julio Jones out of the game with double coverage.
7. Halftime Show: What Song Will Lady Gaga Sing First?
"Just Dance" at plus-1000 is very tempting, considering that's arguably Lady Gaga's biggest hit, but given that the sportsbooks put "any other song" as the heavy favorite at plus-110, the play might be that choice, especially considering that none of the songs listed is off her brand-new album, Joanne.
If you've watched the NFL playoffs for more than 10 minutes, you've seen promotions for the halftime show using Lady Gaga's music video for "Perfect Illusion," which was the first single released off the album. The guess is that's the opener at halftime.
8. Super Bowl MVP (Top Five Listed)
A quarterback has won the Super Bowl MVP 27 out of 50 times, including eight of the last 10. That's why you see Brady and Ryan as the heavy favorites, so the safe play is to pick the quarterback of the team that you think will win.
But the gutsier play is to take Blount at plus-2000. Aside from what has been previously mentioned, it should be noted that Blount is fairly well-rested given the time of year.
In the last four weeks, he's only touched the football 25 times in live-game action, in part due to two bye weeks and an eight-touch game against Houston.
He might have just enough stamina left in the tank to wear down the Falcons defense. The bet here is that he does.
9. What Color Will the Liquid Be That Is Poured on the Head Coach?
| Liquid | Odds |
| Clear/Water | +300 |
| Lime/Green | +300 |
| Yellow | +300 |
| Orange | +300 |
| Red | +500 |
| Blue | +750 |
| Purple | +1000 |
Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn's Gatorade bath was yellow when his team won the NFC Championship, but Patriots head coach Bill Belichick did not take the traditional shower.
According to OddsShark, Belichick didn't get a Gatorade shower for his first two Super Bowl wins as head coach (perhaps because both games came down to the last play, so the players may have just been too excited to grab the tub).
But in his last two Super Bowl wins, Belichick had clear and blue Gatorade showers.
If you're feeling lucky on very small sample sizes, go with blue if you think the Pats will win and yellow for the Falcons.
10. If the Patriots Win, Will Belichick, Brady or Kraft Be Seen Shaking Roger Goodell's Hand on TV?
| Result | Odds |
| Yes | -150 |
| No | +110 |
Sportsbooks are obviously wondering whether the Patriots are so mad at Commissioner Goodell that they would go so far as to stiff him on a national television handshake.
That could be the case, though the guess is that if Goodell is seen extending his hand to one of the three, they'll take the handshake. They might be too happy after winning the Super Bowl to feel anger at that moment.
But the intriguing part of the bet is this: The handshake has to appear on television. After reviewing the video for Super Bowl XLIX's Lombardi Trophy presentation, it seems like no handshake was captured on television. This was during the calm before the Deflategate punishment storm, so relations between Goodell and the Pats were fine at this point, and yet no handshake was seen.
Take the good plus-110 odds for no, simply because it's possible no handshake takes place or is captured on television.
