Tiger Woods at Hero World Challenge 2016: Sunday Leaderboard and Reaction
With a four-over 76 in his final round, Tiger Woods has wrapped up his return to competitive golf with a four under par performance at the Hero World Challenge.
Woods finishes his week ranked 15th out of the 17 golfers who completed all four days of the tournament, but there were plenty of positives for him—and for golf fans—to take out of the experience.
Firstly, his back appears to have held up well after the two surgeries he underwent during his 15-month layoff from the sport. He was swinging the club nicely and making plenty of solid tee shots.
Second, his touch looked great at times, particularly during his bogey-free second round, where he shot 65. There were some rough patches as well, but the roller coaster should smooth out as Woods gets back into game shape by playing more tournaments.
Finally—and maybe best of all—Woods looked visibly happy to be back on the links. A player who has always played with intensity and put plenty of pressure on himself looks like he's poised to enjoy this next chapter of his golf career.
One thing was clear this weekend at Albany Golf Club—golf's a more interesting game when Tiger Woods is part of the field.
