Amukamara's Absence Robbed Jags of Quality CB Depth
Jacksonville signed the 27-year-old Nebraska alumnus during the offseason after he spent the first five years of his pro career with the New York Giants.
Amukamara is the Jags' nickelback behind outside starters Davon House and rookie Jalen Ramsey. He registered two tackles and one pass defended against the Green Bay Packers' high-octane offense in Week 1.
Although Amukamara isn't a true starter, being without him was a huge blow. In his career, he has seven interceptions and 46 starts. Replacing that type of production and experience isn't easy.
