Gordon Out vs. Chiefs
Friday, Dec. 30
Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reported Gordon will not play against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 17.
Injury Disrupts Gordon's Breakout Season
After undergoing microfracture surgery in January, Gordon finished the season with 997 yards and 10 touchdowns.
He was bouncing back nicely from a disappointing rookie season, when he finished with 641 rushing yards on 3.5 yards per carry and didn't find the end zone in any of his 14 games. What's more, the Chargers finished an abysmal 4-12.
It was a far cry from Gordon's final season at Wisconsin, where he racked up 2,587 rushing yards, 153 receiving yards and 32 total touchdowns. The Chargers drafted him with the 15th overall pick, and he appeared to settle into his role as a primary ball-carrier this season.
