Bret Hart Responds to Jim Ross' Comments on Former WWE Superstar's Cancer
Days after WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross claimed that fellow Hall of Famer Bret Hart was cancer-free, "The Hitman" offered some clarification Thursday.
Hart underwent surgery to treat prostate cancer, and while it was successful, he revealed on Facebook that there are still obstacles left to cross:
"I was made aware of the comments Jim Ross made on a recent radio interview. I just want to clarify that, while the surgery went well and my doctors and I are optimistic, it is still way too early to declare that it's now a non-issue. I will be monitored every 3 months over the next couple of years as there is a possibility that the cancer can come back. It will be a while before I can say I'm cancer free.

Triple H Responds to Fan Criticism 🤷
Per TMZ Sports, JR said during an interview with The Gunz Show on 77 WABC Radio on Tuesday that the 58-year-old Canadian had nothing left to worry about with regard to his condition: "They removed the cancer by removing his prostate. ... His cancer is a non-issue now, thank god. ... All issues are resolved and addressed...so that's the good news about Bret Hart."
The five-time WWE champion initially announced in early February he was dealing with prostate cancer in a heartfelt Instagram post:
While The Excellence of Execution appears to be on the right track when it comes to beating cancer, it is understandable why he isn't ready to declare victory due to the unpredictable nature of the disease.
Hart won many great battles over the course of his illustrious career using his Sharpshooter finishing move, but cancer is undoubtedly his greatest opponent.
Even if Ross' declaration that Hart is cured was premature, The Best There Is, The Best There Was and The Best There Ever Will Be will have millions of fans across the world in his corner as he continues his fight.
