Sio Moore Arrested for Reckless Driving: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction
Indianapolis Colts linebacker Sio Moore was arrested Thursday night, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to RTV6 ABC.
According to the officer who pulled Moore over, the 25-year-old "was driving at least 100 miles per hour and was weaving in and out of traffic" on Interstate 65.
Moore was "summonsed for reckless driving and cited for speeding," accordingย to theย Indianapolis Star'sย Michael Anthony Adams. Since the summons is deemed a non-custodial arrest, Moore will have to appear in court, though he was not taken into police custody.
A third-round draft pick out of Connecticut in 2013, Moore appeared in 26 gamesโincluding 22 startsโduring his first two seasons with the Oakland Raiders.
He compiled 7.5 sacks and 105 tackles through two campaigns in the Bay Area, but the Raidersย dealtย him to the Colts for a sixth-round pick before the start of the 2015 season.ย
During his first season with the Colts, Moore proved to be a non-factor. He mustered just four solo tackles and three assisted tackles in 12 games.
His most notable impact may have come when the leagueย fined himย $17,363 for roughing Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Mallett in the Colts' Week 5 win.
