Latest on Lillard's Practice Status
Saturday, Jan. 2
Joe Freeman of the Oregonian reported Lillard went through a full practice on Saturday.
"The biggest problem was being winded," Lillard said after practice, per Freeman. "If I can say that, I'm happy with it."
Lillard Has Become Face of the Franchise for Blazers
Lillard, 25, has emerged as one of the NBA's best guards in his four seasons in the league. After averaging 21 points, 6.2 assists and 4.6 rebounds during the 2014-15 season, Lillard is leading the Trail Blazers in points (24.6) and assists (6.8) per game this season.
He's had to take on an even bigger role offensively since LaMarcus Aldridge signed with the San Antonio Spurs this offseason. While C.J. McCollum, Al-Farouq Aminu and Mason Plumlee have all played well for the team, there's little doubt that the Blazers will only go as far as Lillard can take them.
In his absence—McCollum and Tim Frazier took over ball-handling duties at the point, while Allen Crabbe earned more playing time at shooting guard.
