Well, it is time to count down. I thought I could stop analyzing data, but I am determined to stay up and continue looking at the data.

As we look at Oakland's last 10 games, we see that we have won three and lost seven.

Let's look at differentials:

Oakland       Opponent            differential

20              24                     -4

31              24                     +7

27              16                     +11

26              49                     -23

7                34                     -27

13              20                      -7

31              10                      +21

15              17                      -2

6                17                      -11

0                24                      -24

The summation of the positive differentials is 39.  The summation of the negative differentials is 98. The absolute value of the distance between the two is 59.

For Kansas City, the summation of the positive differentials is seven. The summation of the negatives is 76. The absolute value of the distance between the two is 69.

This means to me, using this method of mini-analysis, that Oakland definitely has an advantage in the Sept. 20, 2009 game against Kansas City, if our forecast is based on the trend of the last ten consecutive games.

Of course this method is deterministic. There are other variables in the game which are based on probabilities.

Nevertheless, be encouraged because the numbers are looking good, using this method.

Again, our expectation is victory.  Go Raiders!
