Glen Davis Fined $5K for Flopping in Clippers vs. Rockets Game 3
Los Angeles Clippers forward Glen Davis has been fined $5,000 for a flopping violation in Friday night's 124-99 win over the Houston Rockets, the NBA announced Saturday.
The play happened late in the first quarter, when Davis, while attempting to set a screen, purposefullyย dove to the ground when contacted by Dwight Howard's arm.
It was the second time in as many days a Clippers player received a fine from the league office. Forward Matt Barnes was issued a $50,000 fineย Friday for inappropriate language directed toward a fan in Game 2's loss in Houston.

This is also the second flop-related fine issued during the series. The league dockedย Rockets forward Corey Brewerย $5,000 for a flop during the first quarter of Game 2.
Under NBA rules, players receive one flop warning per season before fines begin. A second flop, which Davis' and Brewer's violations fall under, earns a $5,000 fine. Each subsequent flop sees an increase in the fine totalโ$10,000 for a third, $15,000 for a fourth and $30,000 for a fifthโbefore the league can consider a suspension.
Davis earned his flop warning in a March game against the Golden State Warriors.
