Manchester United Call in Zen Master Named 'Grandmaster Sken' to Help Team
Manchester United's renaissance under Louis van Gaal has hit a bump in the road, so the Dutchman is looking for new ways to get the team winning again, according to a new report.
United are without a Premier League victory in three games, and that has prompted Van Gaal to call in a Zen master to help turn the club's fortunes around, says The Sun.
The paper says that 59-year-old Thai boxing trainer Grandmaster Sken has been invited by the club to help the team.
The Sun reports (subscription required):
"Van Gaal, 63, feels the principles of calmness, respect, discipline and Dhamma — the knowledge and his wisdom — are just what his players need. So Stockport-based Sken, 59, has been invited to United’s Carrington training HQ for a one-off session.
"
Master Sken says on his website, "True strength lies in gentleness—and mastery of the world begins with mastery of self."
Manchester United currently lie in fourth position in the Premier League table.
