David Perron to Penguins: Latest Trade Details, Comments and Reaction
The Pittsburgh Penguins took a big step toward solidifying their Stanley Cup contendership Friday as they acquired winger David Perron from the Edmonton Oilers.
According to the Oilers' official Twitter account, they will receive Pittsburgh's 2015 first-round draft pick and forward Rob Klinkhammer from the Pens:

Perron will be in the lineup on Saturday, according to the Penguins' official Twitter feed:
The 26-year-old Perron has dealt with injuries for much of his career, but he came into his own last season with his most productive campaign to date. He set new personal bests with 28 goals and 57 points despite playing for a moribund Oilers team.
Perron is an excellent offensive talent, and he has a chance to take that next step with the Penguins.
Pittsburgh has dealt with some injuries of its own this season as key forwards Pascal Dupuis and Patric Hornqvist are currently out. With that in mind, TSN's Darren Dreger views Perron as a great pickup for the Penguins:
While one can only assume that Perron is thrilled with the opportunity to play for a championship in Pittsburgh, he holds Edmonton in very high regard:
It seems likely that Perron will skate alongside either Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin with the Penguins, which means his production could go through the roof.
Although he has just five goals and 19 points in 38 games this season, Perron will be put in a position to thrive once he joins the Pens.
