Buffalo Bills Preview 2008-2009
Well This is my First Full Team Report of all NFL teams coming into this season.Ā Buffalo Bills coming off a near playoff run late in last year addressed a lot of needs in the draft this past weekend. Taking their first pick and drafting the Top Corner in the draft in the picture above Leodis Mckelvin. I definately think he will be a good fit in Buffalo if he earns the starting job as a number 2 with Terrence McGee.
The Bills last year spent their picks last year addressing the Linebacker,Running back, andĀ QuarterbackĀ Positions with Marshawn Lynch, Paul Posluszny,Ā (who didn't play the entire season) and Trent Edwards who brings a lot of spark to the Bills Offense. After Failing to Bring in Bryant Johnson from Arizona, Bills took James Hardy from Indiana who definately could merge into a big threat on the field.

Offseason Moves for Every Team š
Marcus Stroud and Super Bowl Champion Linebacker Kawika MitchellĀ was brought into the Bills defense this year making them elite again maybe to the point when Spikes and Fletcher were in the prime making the Bills defense one of the best in the league.Ā Stroud coming from Jacksonville was in trouble with sustance abuse and was not signed back. I think he will be a good fit after Buffalo dumped off Larry Tripplet who is still yet to be signed.
Chris Ellis from Virginia Tech was taken in the 3rd round which i think will give Chris Kelsay a run for his money for the starting job if not take it. He will be a good end to line up on the other side of a very good Aaron Schobel.
Here is the rest of the picks the Bills took in the draft:
4. Reggie Corner CB Akron
4. Derek Fine TE Kansas
5. Alvin Bowen OLB Iowa St.
6. Xavier Omen RB Missouri Western State
7. Demetrius BellĀ OT Northwestern St.Ā
7. Steve Johnson WR Kentucky
7. Kennard CoxĀ DB Pittsburgh
As a Draft Grade goes, i'd have to slap them with a B. I think they covered a lot of needs but I think I would of reached for a better Tight End instead of taking Reggie Corner. Especially when you spent your first pick on the top corner.Ā I just dont feel Robert Royal or Courtney Anderson is going to be elite in the Bills Offense.
If you watched any of the Buffalo Bills games last year, an interesting name that was having good success was Fred Jackson. He Became a good backup to Lynch last year. He only ran for 300 yards and 0 Touchdowns but he showed a lot of Promise and it was interesting that Buffalo took another Running back. You can never have too much depth.
NowĀ i'm going to look at their schedule and make my predictions on how the season should go.
Week 1. Seattle at home W
Week 2. At Jacksonville L
Week 3.Ā Oakland At HomeĀ L
Week 4.Ā At St. Louis W
