If it ain’t broke, keep flipping it.
A Fox Sports sideline reporter attempted to put The Mailman on blast for owning a flip phone in 2014, but Malone stood his ground.
“What you guys don’t realize, this is a masterpiece,” Malone said. “It’s kind of like anything else. You keep it long enough, it’s going to come back in style.”
Correct as usual, Mr. Malone.
As a man who played during the height of NBA fashion in the ‘80s and ‘90s, Malone understands that style is cyclical. He also prefers to be the only millionaire in the building who wears Ralph Lauren button-downs and uses a plastic chunk of living art to communicate with others.
These people calling out Malone for having a flip phone are likely the same ones who drop $200 on an old, rotary dial to put in their “sitting room” next to a chess set and a pile of uncomfortably ornate pillows.
Who’s sense of style are you going to adhere to? The faux vintage elite's? Or The Mailman's?
