New York Jets
The Jets are hated by every team that faced the Patriots last year. Eric "Man-genius" was smart enough to tattle on the Patriots, and the Pats unloaded on every team that they faced.
The Jets haven't had luck passing, rushing or blocking. Their defense wasn't much better than the offense.
They need help at a lot of positions. Chad Pennington can only throw the ball from my seat to the computer screen, but he could hit any point on that screen.
They need something at a lot of positions, so where will they go with their draft picks?
Possible Draft Directions
Thomas Jones and Leon Washington weren't the double threat the Jets were hoping for. If McFadden is still available, I can't see the Jets passing on the guy that could be the next AP (Adrian Peterson).
Wide receiver is a very pressing need. They have several receivers on their current roster, but combined, their last season stats don't add up to 1,000 yards. That's not a good thing for a quarterback to work with.
DeSean Jackson would help fix that, but he could be this year's Ted Ginn.
Kris Jenkins isn't what he used to be, and hasn't had a +5 sack season since 2003. They could use Glenn Dorsey to replace him.
They also need help at defensive end. Chris Long could help them out by coming off the edge.
Linebacker is another position of need. Keith Rivers out of USC is a very good prospect, and he could give them the help that they desperately need.
Look out for how the rich get richer on Wednsday.

Look for McFadden here. This is about where he fits in terms of talent, and the Jets do need him, even if he isn't the next AP, IMO.
Great read.

I'm going to say Ryan Clady here. I know it seems high, and the Jets could probably trade down a few spots and still pick him up. I think Dmac will be gone by the 5th pick, and I don't see them going for Ryan because they really haven't given Clemens a chance.

haha drafting glen dorsey to replace kris jenkins? they didnt give up a third and fifth rounder plus all that money 2 replace him in the draft

about the wide receivers--Coles is a solid receiver but like you said, Pennington's long-range throwing is non-existent. The Jets need a franchise quarterback before they can move forward.

We still don't know how good Kellen Clemens is so that is why I didn't put them as a team looking for a QB. Pennington and Coles don't work together because Coles has speed and Pennington can't hit the deep passes. They either need more possession receivers for Pennington or a QB with an arm for Coles and other speedsters.

They just guarenteed Coles' contract so he will be around for a few more seasons and Jericho Cotchery had over 1,000 yards receiving last year. WR is not a pressing need.

sorry for the mistake, I must have overlooked him when I went through the receivers on the roster.

Ahhhh, what else is new. More statistical fallacies. Seriously, is it THAT hard to check up on your stats and ensure that they are right. I keep reading your stuff hoping you learn from your mistakes and quit repeating them over and over again, hoping to enjoy what you write. Alas, it's more of the same.
How is McFadden the next AP? AP has the ability to run through tackles and be a physical, power runner. McFadden has not shown that ability.

COULD BE THE NEXT AP, NOT IS THE NEXT AP, STOP TRYING TO TURN STUFF AROUND. I explained the error previously, wow, Ben PATHETIC
2 months ago
How COULD he be? They have two drastically different styles. Yeah, Matt Ryan COULD be the next Vince Young too, right? Explaining the error doesn't mean it wasn't made, AGAIN. You make those errors in every single article you write. Quit making them and you won't have to keep explaining them. Again, take a little pride in what you write. Make sure it's right before you publish it. It isn't that difficult to do.

Matt Ryan has never been compared to Vince Young, D-Mac has been compared to AP multiple times by plenty of people so it is a fair comparison that I am not the only one making. When a comment is made, I understand it, it doesn't need to be said by different people in the same place.

Ryan compares just as well to Young as McFadden to AP. They play the same position, that's pretty much where the comparisons stop.

McFadden has a lot of speed and runs with drive. he may not be able to slash and cut, but they both play with more heart than the average player. Ryan and Young have completely different expectations. Young is a speedy quarterback that relies on buying time in the pocket before making the pass or deciding to run. Ryan is a pocket passer who can make a lot of throws.

Runs with a lot of drive? Really? The knock on him is the scouts question his ability to get good leg drive. Again, you saying something just for the sake of saying it. Peterson is a physical, punishing runner who has an ability to be workhorse and run between the tackles. McFadden has not shown to be that type of back. Like I said, they play the same position and are fast, the similarities pretty much end there. So as I was saying, they are as comparable as Matt Ryan and Vince Young.
