In case you haven't heard.

Report: #Chargers will part ways with GM A.J. Smith and head coach Norv Turner after the season.bit.ly/SQXOqp

— FOX SPORTS: NFL (@NFLONFOX) December 6, 2012

Not exactly shocking, although the responses weren't all positive. Fans love the fact that the duo that has failed to bring home a championship is gone, but they aren't too pleased that it took so long.

Or that the terminated parties will be given until the end of the season.

So FINALLY the idiot #Chargers moved to fire dumb & dumber, but in true Bolt fashion, they will wait till end of season goo.gl/lXocp

Trust me. It's only news if A.J Smith and Norv Turner AREN'T fired after the season. #Chargers

Norv Turner firing is obvious. Wrote that the #Chargers should fire A.J. Smith a while ago. Failed miserably as a GM of late.

There wasn't much variation to the tweets responding to the reported firing of Norv Turner and A.J. Smith, who is referred to as the Lord of No Rings. Some even just get downright mean, but most of them read like Breanna Pollerana's.

That's the best news I've heard in a while... #chargers

To sum it up, San Diego Chargers fans are ready to move on. They did enjoy some success under Smith and his two head coaches, but no one is remembered fondly for giving it a good try.

Although one man was willing to point out that maybe mediocrity shouldn't be viewed as the basement of the fan experience.

Well the #Chargers are finally doing something right. Sadly though it actually can get worse

However, amidst all the adoration for the move exuded by the majority of commentators, there may be cause for pause.
