TNA Impact Wrestling: Complete Preview, Rumors, News and More for August 23
With another week of TNA Impact Wrestling on the way, it’s time to showcase the hot action we as fans can expect from this episode.
If you have been living under a rock, you may have missed the fact that the Impact Zone has been overrun by a masked gang called The Aces and Eights.
After beating down hulk Hogan and Sting, the legendary duo has called out the gang on Open Fight Night.
While there has been much speculation about who the leader of the gang really is, this Thursday will mark a turning point in the storyline. With James Storm exonerated last week, the rumors have run rampant.
Now is not the time to miss the wild TNA action!
Where: Universal Studios, Orlando, FL.
When: Thursday, August 23 at 8 p.m. ET
Watch: SPIKE TV
Sting and Hulk Call Out Aces and Eights
With the Aces and Eights gang proving TNA security is really mailing in their effort, they have run roughshod over the entire Impact Zone for weeks.
Enough is enough, though, and the TNA superstars are ready to call out the gang live on Open Fight Night.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will Aces and Eights show up?
With Hulk Hogan returning and Sting making such a big deal about this, the hope is that Thursday will reveal another clue about who exactly is in charge of the gang. With James Storm being attacked, it’s clear it isn’t him.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 war games matches
While it seems farfetched, there have been recommendations across the Internet about having the face superstars square off with the gang in a war-games-style match. While the name is owned by WWE, the two-ring idea would be cool, and the ultimate payoff could be revealing the leader.

Say Goodbye to Claire Lynch
For the past few months, TNA has been plagued by constant attacks. No, I don’t mean Aces and Eight; I mean the constant attacks on our nerves by the worst storyline in recent history with Claire Lynch.
Now, it looks like it’s all over.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is this too good to be true?
According to the reports from Wrestling Observer via TNA WrestlingNews, Claire Lynch’s real identity was revealed. When this was found out, there was a situation between the actress and the company and has now likely been released. A paternity test this week should end the story.
Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 You-Aren’t-the-Father reveals
While I am sincerely glad this storyline is over, I wish Ms. Lynch was there at least one more time for the paternity test reveal. When AJ Styles is told that the baby is not his, I would’ve loved to see him act like it was an episode of Maury and tell her off.
Hey, at least it’s over!

Suck Check
While Joey Ryan has made this segment a huge success amongst smart wrestling fans, this hasn’t translated at all when it comes to the rest of these stars. Besides the interaction between Al Snow and Taz, this segment couldn’t be any worse.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will any winners actually get used?
So far, the star from Gut Check that saw the most action was Joey Ryan, and he was the loser of the bunch. As for the wrestlers signed through the competition, we haven’t seen hind of hair of them in weeks. Too funny.
Hype Meter: 1 out of 5 useless segments
Every time I see Taz and Al Snow I get excited, but then, out marches some bland wrestler not nearly as good as the Indy guys real wrestling fans know exist out there.
Every time this segment hits my TV, I hope for an Aces and Eights run-in; is that wrong?
