Arizona Cardinals Preseason: Latest Buzz on Player Injuries

Mike MayJun 7, 2018

Bobbie Massie:

Played in limited action in Kansas City due to turf toe. This isn't good for Massie, as he has struggled at times at the right tackle spot. While it's obviously far too soon to form any judgment on Massie, you'd like to see him get as many reps as possible in the offense. Turf toe can unfortunately be one of those lingering injuries that plague a season, best examples being Kevin Kolb and Jahvid Best.

Ryan Williams:

From what I understand we should see Ryan Williams in limited action Friday against the Oakland Raiders. I'm expecting a series, maybe two at the most. It'll be important to get Williams into actual game shape over the next three weeks. There will be some mental hurdles involved in his return to form as well. Williams is returning from a ruptured patellar tendon suffered last preseason.

Wells is likely a game time decision on Friday. He warmed up against Kansas City, so indications are he'll get a series or two against Oakland as well. Wells underwent meniscus surgery in the offseason, though there's plenty of reason to suspect a micro-fracture as well.

LaRon Byrd (shoulder), fullback Jared Crank (neck), Michael Adams (hamstring), Paris Lenon (ankle) and LaRod Stephens-Howling (groin) all missed practice as of Monday.
