Oakland A's: Brandon Inge Lands on DL After Torrid Start with A's
The Oakland A's appeared to have struck gold with their acquisition of Brandon Inge earlier this season.
Unfortunately it was too good to be true, at least for the time being.
According to MLB.com, Inge had to be placed on the disabled list Thursday due to a groin strain. The DL stint is retroactive to May 13 and he will be eligible to return on May 28.

Inge only had two hits as a member of the Detroit Tigers this season but was having a great start in Oakland. He had four home runs and 17 RBI in 11 games with the A's before hitting the DL.
Inge had been a welcome addition to Oakland but will now have to wait to see if his resurgence is going to continue.
The A's are hoping to remain close to the Texas Rangers while Inge is sidelined. They are staying in contention this season and will have to find a way to do it without Inge in the lineup over the next week and a half.
The A's have called up Adam Rosales to fill Inge's spot on the roster.
