Everyone is hoping that the rain clouds disappear and there is smooth, dry weather for this afternoon’s qualifying run in Sao Paulo, Brazil. There is no doubt that this could be another wet weekend in Brazil.

Many will recall that last year’s Sao Paulo Indy 300 was plagued by bad weather that saw the Sunday race being pushed into a Monday finish with Will Power taking the checkered flag.

There is no doubt that Brazilian race fans would love to see one of their homegrown IndyCar drivers make the podium. Fans will be cheering the duo of Helio Castroneves, who will behind the wheel of the No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet, and Tony Kanaan, who will be at piloting the Chevy powered No. 11 KV Racing Technology car that sports the green and yellow colors of the Brazilian flag. Both have a solid chance at winning on their home turf.
