WWE SmackDown: Will Booker T Return to the Ring to Fight Cody Rhodes?

Since returning to WWE as an announcer following the Royal Rumble, many fans have been asking if Booker will ever return to the ring to wrestle.

Booker is a top-level talent who has found a ton of success in the wrestling business, and he could easily help the younger talent get over.

He is still in great shape and we saw at the Rumble that he is still able to go in the ring and mix it up with just about anybody.

Cody Rhodes took exception to some comments Booker made, and retaliated by throwing a bottle of water on Booker.

Rhodes made a quick exit before Booker could really react, but WWE posted a video which had Booker commenting on the incident.

He says he will not hold this against Rhodes and that as a broadcaster he has to be able to take the good with the bad.

This is looking like a setup to a feud the more WWE progresses with it, and it is a feud I would not mind seeing.

Cody is right on the cusp of breaking through to the main event scene on SmackDown and going up against a guy like Booker T and defeating him could be the final push he needs.

Booker is a six-time world champion, having held five titles with WCW and one with WWE. He is also a former US, Tag Team and TNA Legends champion.

Booker's resume is one that will no doubt get him into the hall of fame someday, and it could also give Cody Rhodes more credibility if he beats him.

If you ask me, this is the perfect feud to take Rhodes into 2012 because it could easily go through the Rumble into Elimination Chamber.

I could even see Rhodes and Booker having a match at WrestleMania if the feud can be kept interesting that long, but I do not know what Booker is willing to do in terms of wrestling.

He is no longer a full-time wrestler and having more than a few matches may be something he is not willing to do at this point in his career.

I hope this continues this week on SmackDown. Rhodes is not one to shy away from someone he does not like, so we will have to wait and see if he tries anything else.

What do you think, would Rhodes and Booker put on a good program together?
