Torres was coming off of a decision loss to Demetrious Johnson at UFC 130 and Pace was coming off of a loss to Ivan Menjivar at UFC 133.
In the end, Torres came out on top pulling out a big unanimous decision victory that saw him dominate Pace from start to finish.
What We'll Remember About This Fight
How good Torres looked and his last minute weird tumble attack towards Pace. Torres looked really good and is starting to climb back up the bantamweight ladder.
What We Learned About Miguel Torres
Torres still has what it takes to compete at a top level. Torres' striking looked very good tonight and was keeping busy whether he was standing at range or up close in the clinch. He was throwing great Muay Thai knees and some solid short punches from the clinch.
What We Learned About Nick Pace
Pace looked tired towards the end of the fight and kept dropping his hands really low. Pace isn't quite ready for the big time yet and has suffered his third loss in his last four fights. Although to be fair to Pace they have been against Torres, Johnson and Menjivar.
What's Next For Miguel Torres?
If Urijah Faber loses tonight I definitely want to see that fight happen. If not, I want to see Torres get another shot at Johnson since their last fight was a great example of Grappling 101. I don't think he would get that fight, but he could definitely get Faber.
What's Next For Nick Pace?
I don't know exactly where to put Pace since he could possibly be out of a job. If not Pace will probably face a newcomer to the UFC in his next fight to get him back on track.
