Wide Left: A Chat with Kermit the Frog About the Muppets, Sports, & Being Green

I have interviewed a lot of people, but this is the first time I can say I've had the opportunity to interview a frog. And not just any frog, mind you, but the most famous frog on the planet.
While we do ask tough questions, we like to have some fun on this show, and nothing is more fun – or topical – than The Muppets. With that, I was given the chance to chat with Kermit the Frog.

Here is that interview.
My love of the Muppets runs deep, so this is an incredible thrill to have the chance to talk with Kermit just a few days before their blockbuster return to the big screen comes out.
We talk about the new movie, how doing this movie felt different than other projects in the last ten years, and we try to figure out if the Muppets are cool again, or if they never stopped being cool.
I do ask some sports questions, this being a sports website, including what sport Kermit would have played had he not gone into the movies and what Muppet would make the best professional athletes (it has to be Animal as a cage fighter, right?)
Also, what professional athletes would make the best Muppets and does Peyton Manning look a little too much like Sam the Eagle?
We talk about the future of the Muppets, including more movies and maybe a (gasp) sit-com? And I also finally get to pin Kermit down on the tough question: Being Green…is it easy or not?
What a thrill for me. I know his phone isn't great, but it's really him. I hope you get as much a kick out of this as I did.
