Rams vs. Browns: Live Score, Video and Analysis
The Cleveland Browns (3-5) are playing host to the St. Louis Rams (1-7) in what should be an unpredictable game between two teams sitting at the bottom of their respected divisions.
Both teams could use a win in order to generate a little midseason boost, which could propel either team towards achieving a more respectable run through the second half of the 2011 season.
The Browns boast the No. 1-ranked pass defense in the league (165.2 yards per game), which does not bode well for a Rams team that only has four total touchdown passes in 2011.
The Browns have to be the favorites in the game, especially since they have home-field advantage, but with running back Peyton Hillis officially ruled out with a hamstring injury, the Browns should not take the Rams lightly.
The Rams upset the New Orleans Saints two weeks ago and are hungry for a win after a devastating 19-13 overtime loss in Arizona last week.
The St. Louis defense has stiffened up lately—they have given up only 126 rushing yards and 27 points in their last two games combined.
With Hillis out and with a remodeled Rams run defense, the Browns will be forced to score points with their passing offense, which modesty ranks 25th in the NFL (206.9 yards per game).
However, the Browns are desperately needing a win after back-to-back road losses against the San Francisco 49ers and the Houston Texans. Their return to Cleveland against a lowly Rams team provides them with a great opportunity to right the ship.
Neither team will roll over in a game they both view as "winnable," so this one should come down to the wire.
