UFC 1 on Fox: Chael Sonnen, 11 UFC Fighters Give Their Predictions

In just a few short days, the UFC will make its broadcasting television debut on the FOX Network.

UFC on FOX 1 will take place on Nov. 12, 2011, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

The main card will be headlined around the main event of the evening when current heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez puts his title up for grabs against No. 1 contender Junior Dos Santos.

The fight card is promised to be one of the most exciting fights of the entire year as it is expected to be one of the biggest nights in UFC history.

And leading up to the highly anticipated event, several UFC stars weighed in with their predictions for Velasquez vs. Dos Santos.

In an interview, each fighter stated:

Forrest Griffin

"I think Cain will win and it will come down to how good Dos Santos' wrestling is. You know, even Cain doesn't want to stand up with Junior."

Prediction: Cain Velasquez

Rashad Evans

"I got to go Cain Velasquez. I think Junior Dos Santos got some very good hands, but I think the pace that Cain sets, the up-and-down pace, will be too much for Junior."

Prediction: Cain Velasquez

Ryan Bader

"Yeah, I got to go with Cain. Junior is a tough guy, but I think Cain is actually going to show where he's at in the division and really separate himself in this fight."

Dan Hardy

"I'm leaning slightly towards Cain Velasquez. He's got the belt now and he's confident; he's beaten Brock and he's proven he's the best."

"Cain Velasquez. I think he's the top heavyweight in the world and I don't think anyone is going to dethrone him."

"I can't wait 'til that match happens. Dos Santos really won me over in that Carwin match, but Cain is a whole other deal."

"Cain Velasquez. His wrestling is just too fluent and he doesn't get tired no matter what. And his striking is also very good; he's a very well-rounded fighter."

Dan Henderson

"I have to go with Cain—unless he gets caught early coming in. But he'll put him on his back and I don't think Junior is used to being there."

Chad Mendes

"I'm going to say Cain. I've known Cain for a while just from the wrestling community. He wrestled at Arizona State when I was in college at Poly. He's my boy, so I'll go with Cain."

"I think Cain will win. I think his wrestling with keep Junior off balance. And when he needs his striking he'll be able to use it. I think he'll get the win.

"I'm going to go with JDS just because he beat me and I'll probably be the only one he's never knocked out."

Prediction: Junior Dos Santos 

In total, 10 fighters believe Cain Velasquez will remain the UFC heavyweight champion while Roy Nelson was the only fighter to pick Junior Dos Santos.
