🚨 Mitchell Headed to 1st Conference Finals

The B/R College Football Playoff Round One

Samuel SIlvermanDec 14, 2008

In honor of the mockery that is the BCS, I have taken the initiative to put together an eight-team playoff.

The Rules:

The winner of each "BCS" conference is awarded an automatic bid into the tournament and two "at large" programs are selected.  The teams play at neutral sites for each game as they have been doing in the current bowl process.

Of course teams will still be left out, but hey, at least we can see what would happen if the BCS chose to listen to America including President-elect Obama.

The games will be decided by a Bleacher Report vote.

My email is zags430@aol.com.  Please attach a link to your profile in the email and put B/R Playoff as the subject.

The Bracket:

1. Florida Gators

8. Utah Utes

The high-powered offense of the Florida Gators will have to avoid a misstep against a potential party crasher.

4. Penn State Nittany Lions

5. Cincinnati Bearcats

JoePa's team will look to advance against a sound Bearcats program that benefited from the Big East's automatic bid.

3.USC Trojans

6. Virginia Tech Hokies

USC will try to prove that one fluke loss early in the season shouldn't determine whether they are the best program in the country.

2. Oklahoma Sooners

7. Texas Longhorns

A rematch of the Red River shootout will determine who should be representing the Big 12 as the automatic selection.

Please only one vote per person.

Send it to as many people as possible.
