LSU 9 Alabama 6 Final/OT

In a contest already touted the "game of the century" by some analysts, Alabama hosts LSU in a battle for the lead in the SEC West, as well as the BCS standings.

The hype for this game cannot get any bigger.

Both teams had last weekend off, which should have helped them better prepare for their opponents. Instead, the week became a media circus only comparable to the Superbowl. Alabama officials have approved about 600 media credentials for Saturday's game.

As for the game itself, there are plenty of story lines to keep even an average fan entertained.

First and foremost, it is truly a battle of the best teams in the country. LSU and Alabama come into this game ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in every human poll there is. The Tigers have allowed only 11.5 points per game, which is third in the nation behind the 6.9 points per game that the Crimson Tide allows.

The important factor for each of these programs is that they are run by incredible football minds. There are few coaches in the NCAA better than Les Miles and Nick Saban, and they each have the national championships to prove it.

There is also Trent Richardson attempting to becoming the second Alabama running back in three years to capture the Heisman Trophy.
