New Mexico made its hire today, picking up Illinois offensive coordinator Mike Locksley.

A 17-year coaching veteran, Locksley previously was running backs coach and recruiting coordinator at Florida under Ron Zook, with whom he works at Illinois.

This guy has the experience of a big time school, and it looks as if New Mexico will be changing their offense to what he did at Illinois with a spread option by using a dual threat quarterback.
