UFC 136 Weigh-in Results: Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard
The official weigh-ins for UFC 136, an event that is shaping up to be perhaps the best card of the year, will be held today at 5 p.m. ET at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
In an event with two title fights, there are some other bouts on the card that very likely could steal the show from either one of the main events.
Chael Sonnen is set to go up against war veteran Brian Stann. Many people have Stann losing this fight, but he doesn't see it that way. Sonnen has uncharacteristically had only positive things to say about Stann and is anticipating a tough fight on Saturday night.
UFC featherweight champion José Aldo is set to go up against Kenny Florian, who is in only his second fight at featherweight. It's sure to be a fight that demonstrates an incredible pace and is likely to go all over the cage.
In their third bout, UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar will try to finally defeat the only man to have a win over him in Gray Maynard. "The Bully" will look to walk away with the belt that he thinks is his, and will likely be looking to put Edgar away rather than go to decision.
Stay tuned for a complete analysis of each weigh-in at 5 p.m ET.

And now the main event! Finally we'll get to know who is absolutely the UFC lightweight champion!
Maynard comes out to a mixed response and looking all business. No surprise there. Maynard comes in at a solid 155.
Edgar also comes out to a mixed response, but doesn't look as focused as Maynard. Gray is not taking his eyes off Edgar as Frankie steps on the scale.
Edgar comes in at 154 and a half. Maynard still isn't taking his eyes off of Edgar. These two are so intense. They do not shake hands after the face-off. Clearly there is no love-loss between the two.
Rogan goes over to Maynard for a comment. "Let's have some fun!" says Maynard. He is clearly looking forward to getting in the cage.
Rogan goes to the champ next for a comment. Edgar gets lots of boos. "I've spent too long thinking about this kid," says Edgar. He sounds less confident than Maynard.
That's it folks! Do not miss this event. It could very well be the best event of the year. There is so much potential for multiple "Fight of the Night" winners. Sparks are absolutely going to fly.
Now for the co-main event! This fight is going to move quickly so make sure you don't blink!
First up is Florian who looks humble as always. Florian has been in the UFC since the first season of TUF. He comes in at 145.
Next up is Aldo who comes out to lots of applause. He's looking really focused as usual. He's so intense before his fights. Aldo comes in at 145, too.
The two shake hands after the face-off.
Rogan asks Florian for a comment. "This is the fight that brought me to 145," says Florian. Lets see if he can beat the champ.
Rogan goes to Aldo for a comment. "I'm very well prepared," says Aldo. This is another fight that could get "Fight of the Night!!" What an amazing card and it's not even over!
Next is another match that might just end up taking "Fight of the Night" honors!! Sonnen vs. Stann!
The crowed is really giving it up for this bout.
First up is the former WEC light heavyweight champ, Stann! He comes out to lots of applause.
Stann comes in at a half pound over weight so he has to nude up.
Whoa! The camera guy almost gives everyone an X-rated shot of Stann.
Stann comes in at 186 in the end and Sonnen comes in at 185 and a half.
The two have a great stare down and shake hands afterword. That is gonna be a great fight.
Next is a rematch between Phan and Garcia. Phan comes out first and weighs in at 145. Looks very humble, but ready.
Garcia comes out to lots of cheers, looks very energetic. The two hug before a very intense stare down. Should be a good fight.

Lauzon comes in at 155 and a half.
Guillard comes out to lots of cheers and also weighs in at 155 and a half.
The two hug before facing off with one another. Guillard smiles during the face-off. He looks pretty confident.
Next up are the two Brazilian warriors Maia and Santiago. People are really wondering if Maia can come back into his own.
Santiago comes in at 185 as does Maia. The two give a little fist bump before facing off.
Next up in what might just end up being the "Fight of the Night" is Stephens vs. Pettis.

Wow! A really intense stare down between these two. This is going to be an absolute battle!!
Next up we have Beltran and Miocic in the only heavyweight bout on this card.
Beltran comes in at 245 and Miocic weghing in at 236. Pretty big difference there in weight.
Next up we have Zhang and Darren Elkins.
Zhang comes in a half pound over and needs to take off his bottoms.
Rogan gives the ring girls some crap for walking away as Zhang disrobes. Zhang is an excellent submission specialist.
And Zhang makes it in by the skin of his teeth.
Elkins weighs in at 145.
Next up Simpson and Schafer. Both men looked very well in shape.
Simpson comes in at an even 186 while Schafer weighs in at 185 and a half. Neither man looking too intense in the stare down.
The UFC 136 weigh-ins start with two middleweights Steve Cantwell and Mike Massenzio.
Joe Rogan doing some introductions. Proclaims he is wearing a Texas belt buckle.
