The WWE and World Championship Matches I Would Book for WrestleMania 28

0 of 9

WrestleMania is known as the showcase of the immortals. It is the biggest night of the year in the WWE. WrestleMania 28 will feature possibly the last match in the career of the Undertaker and a "dream" match that many fans never thought they would ever see with The Rock Vs John Cena. Undoubtedly this match will be the main event in closing out the show.

However recent reports state the WWE has decided to not have the WWE Championship involved in the match.

In response to hearing this I must say I'm very pleased that this match won't be for the WWE Championship. This just due to the fact that this match is already so hyped it doesn't need to be for the WWE Championship. This allows the WWE Championship to be on the line in a different match.

So with the WrestleMania 28 main event set in stone. Who will compete for the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships at the grandest stage of them all?

I give you the two matches I would book for the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships if I were Vince McMahon.

Randy Orton Should Walk into WrestleMania 28 as World Champion

1 of 9

When it comes to a WrestleMania World Championship match the first thing you look for is a credible champion.

Reportedly the WWE has discussed plans to have a Mark Henry vs Sheamus match take place at WrestleMania 28, and for it to be for the World Championship.

To myself that seems like an "okay" title match, but at the biggest show of the year? And I quote from the The Miz, ''really?"

Randy Orton is a top draw and has become one of the best wrestlers in the WWE and worldwide. Orton can work a good match with just about anybody.

For these reasons I feel that Randy Orton should walk into WrestleMania 28 as World Champion.

So who should he defend the title against?

I feel that for the WWE to have the best possible match for the World Heavyweight Championship. The match should be a triple threat match featuring...

Wade Barrett 2012 Royal Rumble Match Winner

2 of 9

Going back to 2010 when Wade Barrett won the first season of NXT the IWC was all behind Wade Barrett and the Nexus angle. Eventually thanks to Super-Cena the Nexus lead by Barrett dissolved around December 2010 with CM Punk taking over the group and Barrett being sent over to SmackDown.

While the Nexus angle was going strong Barrett worked great matches with Orton for the WWE Championship. The matches were overshadowed because of the Cena storyline. But the matches these two worked were solid.

Wade Barrett was my pick to win the SmackDown Money in the Bank briefcase at the 2011 event. However the match was won by Daniel Bryan.

The two former Nexus members would then feud in the weeks after the Money in the Bank pay-per-view with a match taking place at SummerSlam, a match that was won by Barrett. So this lead fans and myself included to then think that two would feud over the Money in Bank briefcase. Well, what happened?

Bryan has been showing signs of a heel turn due to his losing streak and Barrett has been barley used. Which I don't understand.

Barrett has the size, the character and mic ability to be a main event player for years in the WWE. I expect him to be on television more as the year ends and as 2012 begins.

For these reasons I would book Wade Barret to win the 2012 Royal Rumble and have him announce that he is challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Then in coming weeks Orton and Barrett are set to sign the WrestleMania contract when out comes....

Daniel Bryan the 2011 Smackdown Money in the Bank Winner

3 of 9

    Daniel Bryan.

When the Nexus invasion took place Daniel Bryan was said to have been to aggressive for the infamous incident where he choked out Justin Roberts with his own tie. Bryan was soon released but then he was quickly re-hired.

The king of the indies has gone from the NXT underdog to Money in the Bank winner.

Daniel Bryan stated only days after winning Money in the Bank that he was going to be the first to cash in at WrestleMania. While some speculate its a ploy, I think it is a great idea that makes the most sense.

Some fans lately have become upset at the booking of Daniel Bryan. While I on the other hand am not. I feel that the losing streak he is going through is way to build up a more viscous and ruthless Daniel Bryan which is a great way to build him up before cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase.

So think about this Orton vs Bryan is a good matchup but with the history between Orton and Barrett and with Bryan and Barrett. The feud these three could have over the World Championship could be epic.

So ladies and gentlemen I give you the World Heavyweight Championship Match that I would book for WrestleMania 28.

World Champion Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett vs Daniel Bryan

4 of 9

Randy Orton(c) Vs Wade Barret 2012 Royal Rumble Winner Vs Daniel Bryan 2011 Smackdown Money in the Bank Winner for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Hows that match  look on paper compared to

Mark Henry(c) vs Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship.

A Triple Threat Match Featuring Orton Vs Barrett Vs Bryan would be a great match. All three of these guys are technically sound. All three are over with the crowd and they all put on great matches, not to mention the build-up to this match would be amazing.

So the winner of the match?

New World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan Via Submission on Wade Barrett.

Making Money In the Bank Winners 10 for 10.

So that's the match I would book for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.

Now what about the WWE Championship?

The Miz Should Walk into WrestleMania 28 as WWE Champion

5 of 9

    '' I'm, The Miz and I'm awesome!"

I still remember hearing The Miz debut that vary catchphrase. The moment I heard that all I could think was "watch him become big." And, well, he did. Lo and behold the huge superstar The Miz has become today.

The Miz may currently be "fired" but I have a feeling, come WrestleMania season, he will be involved in a big feud. I hope that feud is over the WWE title. Let the record show The Miz is undefeated at WrestleMania. I'm sure we will hear about it come WrestleMania season.

Miz should be around the WWE title picture come January. The Miz is well over with the crowd and is, in my opinion, the second best on the mic. ( The first I will get to momentarily).  Not to mention he has become a top draw for the company.

For these reasons I would book the Miz to Walk into WrestleMania 28 as the WWE Champion. For a one-on-one clash with the best mic worker in the business.

CM Punk the Winner of the Raw Elimination Chamber Match

6 of 9

CM Punk the master of the pipe-bomb on the mic. The best mic worker in the WWE today.

Ever since his epic shoot promo from the summer, CM Punk's popularity has skyrocketed. I was at the Money in Bank pay-per-view, and the emotion in that arena was unreal. The heights he has reached since the Money in the Bank PPV have helped him become the top draw of all of WWE.

From his merchandise becoming the new best seller in the company, to the great matches he continues to put on. CM Punk's momentum come WrestleMania season will be right there at epic proportions. For these reasons I would book CM Punk to be the Winner of the Raw Elimination Chamber Match in February to face the WWE Champion at WrestleMania 28.

So the WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania 28 I would book would be...

WWE Champion Miz(c) vs Raw Elimination Chamber Winner CM Punk

7 of 9

The best possible match I see for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 28 is The Miz defending vs CM Punk.

I still remember the days of these guys trying to make a name for themselves on ECW. These wrestlers have worked night in and night out to reach the great heights they have reached in the WWE.

A match and a feud between these two would be "AWESOME". These two consistently put together great matches and solid in-ring work.

The history with these guys is there from trying to gain airtime on ECW to battles over the ECW Championship. These two feuding over the WWE Championship would be a great draw and provide a proper WrestleMania feel to the WWE Championship.

So, the Winner of the Match?

New WWE Champion CM Punk Via Submission with the Anaconda Vise.

So is there any chance these two matches happen?

Odds of These Matches Actually Taking Place at Wrestlemania 28

8 of 9

Randy Orton Vs Wade Barrett Vs Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship

As much as I would love to see this match take place, it's unlikely. Its great on paper, and these three would not disappoint. However Vince McMahon is very high on Mark Henry as World Champion, which is different so I don't mind it, but I will be disappointed if he walks into WrestleMania as World champion. But as things are right now, it's not unlikely for Henry to still have the strap come WrestleMania.

Realistically, here is what will most likely happen with these three.

Barrett—Sadly he may not even have a match at WrestleMania. Barrett just needs another legit feud to gain some momentum before WrestleMania 28

Bryan—He has Money in the Bank but it remains unclear when he will cash in despite him stating he will at WrestleMania 28. WWE just needs to develop his character to be more ruthless and aggressive. And please get this guy some decent music!!! Come WrestleMania 28 I do expect Bryan to cash in but against whom I'm not sure.

Orton—Will have some high profile feud as usual likely vs Del Rio if I was guessing.

As for the WWE Championship The Miz(c) vs CM Punk

I actually see this match very likely taking place at WrestleMania 28 for the WWE Championship. Vince is very high on The Miz. CM Punk is now No. 1 in merchandise sales, and reports speculate the WWE wants to capitalize on CM Punk while they can. So overall I think this match very well could take place at WrestleMania 28 .

Like we all know its all up to the man pictured above. Vince McMahon himself always has the final say.

In conclusion, WrestleMania 28 will be historic with the match of The Rock Vs John Cena, and Undertaker possibly wrestling his last match and extending the streak to 20-0.

However, with these two matches, the World Title and WWE Title could easily become an afterthought. This is something that definitely cannot happen. If WWE wants WrestleMania 28 to go down as possibly the best WrestleMania of all-time, they need to book great matches for the WWE and World Championships.

The matches purposed are the matches I would book if I were Vince McMahon. However I'm not him. So let's hear your thoughts of these purposed title matches. So Bleachers; what matches would you book for the WWE and World title at WrestleMania 28?
