Non-Playoff Teams That Dominated NFL Draft

NFL Power Rankings: Week 14

Jordan SchwartzDec 1, 2008

1. (1) New York Giants (11-1)

Continue winning despite the absence of Cheddar Bob.

2. (3) Tennessee Titans (11-1)

The best cure for a first loss is a 30-pound turkey and 60 minutes against the Lions.

3. (4) Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3)

The Steelers are the latest team to take advantage of New England's suddenly horrible defense.

4. (5) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-3)

With a 6-0 home record, the Bucs are in good position to make the NFC title game.

5. (2) New York Jets (8-4)

Gang Green suffers a letdown after their big wins at New England and Tennessee.

6. (6) Atlanta Falcons (8-4)

Matt Ryan is quickly becoming one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

7. (7) Carolina Panthers (9-3)

I was upset that I sat Chris Johnson, until D'Angelo Williams rushed for four touchdowns in his place on one of my fantasy teams.

8. (8) Indianapolis Colts (8-4)

After a 3-4 start, the Colts will once again be heading back to the playoffs this January.

9. (11) Baltimore Ravens (8-4)

They've won their last two games by a combined score of 70-10.

10. (13) Dallas Cowboys (8-4)

The Cowboys have now won three straight and have 10 days to prepare for their big showdown at Pittsburgh Sunday.

11. (9) Washington Redskins (7-5)

The Clinton Portis injuries are starting to catch up with the Redskins.

12. (12) New England Patriots (7-5)

They were outscored 23-0 in the second half against the Steelers and have now surrendered 95 points in their last three games.

13. (10) Arizona Cardinals (7-5)

That was a weak defensive showing at Philly on Thursday night. Luckily, no one saw it.

14. (14) Miami Dolphins (7-5)

The Fins are one game back of the Jets with three winnable games coming up before the big showdown at the Meadowlands on Dec. 28.

15. (17) Denver Broncos (7-5)

The Broncos are 3-3 against teams with losing records and 4-2 against the better teams. Go figure.

16. (16) Minnesota Vikings (7-5)

Nothing feels better than clinching a fantasy playoff berth on a 99-yard touchdown catch.

17. (20) Philadelphia Eagles (6-5-1)

Philly loves Donovan McNabb this week. Don't worry, they'll hate him again next week.

18. (15) Chicago Bears (6-6)

Four plays at the one-yard line and not a single play-action pass? How many times do I have to tell these guys that play action works 100 percent of the time.

19. (18) New Orleans Saints (6-6)

Looks like the Saints will be the only NFC South team not in the playoffs.

20. (28) San Francisco 49ers (4-8)

Break up the 'Niners. They've won two of three and just held the Bills to three points in Buffalo.

21. (19) Buffalo Bills (5-7)

After putting up 54 at Kansas City, the Bills managed just a field goal at home against the lowly 'Niners. And we're supposed to be able to pick these games?

22. (21) Green Bay Packers (5-7)

The Pack has given up 86 points in their last two games.

23. (22) San Diego Chargers (4-8)

Now they're done.

24. (25) Houston Texans (5-7)

They were the least worse team on Monday night.

25. (24) Jacksonville Jaguars (4-8)

They were the worst.

26. (26) Cleveland Browns (4-8)

Just six points in their last two games combined. They need a date with the Packers.

27. (31) Kansas City Chiefs (2-10)

KC breaks a seven-game losing streak with a win at Oakland.

28. (23) Oakland Raiders (3-9)

Drop to 1-5 at the Black Hole.

29. (27) Seattle Seahawks (2-10)

Even with Hasselbeck, the 'Hawks stood no chance in Dallas on Thanksgiving.

30. (29) St. Louis Rams (2-10)

Close but no cigar against Miami, but with Steven Jackson back, the Rams should continue to be a lot more competitive.

31. (30) Cincinnati Bengals (1-10-1)

Chad Johnson dropped to second on the Most Dysfunctional Wide Receiver rankings this week. He needs to step up his game.

32. (32) Detroit Lions (0-12)

Just four losses away from being the worst team of all time.
