WWE: The Razzie Awards for Professional Wrestling (Vote!)
After the WWEmmys ended, there was a request that the Academy open up their own special secondary show for the Razzies of pro wrestling.
These awards will reward the worst performances and moments over the course of the last year.
The Academy has scoured WWE to find the worst of the worst—the matches and the performances that were truly wretched.
The following are performances that occurred between Sept. 19, 2010—Sept. 18, 2011.
There should be little doubt as to how wretched these performances are.
The Academy apologizes ahead of time for asking you to watch any of these moments again. To spare you, there will only be three nominations for each category.
At the end, please vote for what truly was the worst performance you saw from each category.
Worst Tag Team Performance of the Year
1 of 33So many great tag teams.
These are not them.
These are the guys who destroy all credibility.
These are the guys who actually make these titles die.
David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty
2 of 33Performance: Monday Night Raw on Sept. 12, 2011.
They had a slight spark, but the best thing they ever did was lose the titles to Air Boom.
John Cena and David Otunga
3 of 33Performance: Monday Night Raw on Oct. 25, 2010.
They lose the titles intentionally one day after winning them.
The Great Khali and Jinder Mahal
4 of 33Performance: Monday Night Raw on Sept. 5, 2011.
Combine the worst wrestler in WWE with an incredibly green star.
Worst Diva Performance of the Year
5 of 33Most women in WWE are brought in for their looks.
A lot of them simply cannot wrestle.
It's sad but true.
This group is entirely made up of the WWE NXT Season 3 rookies who brought a whole new meaning to the idea of women's wrestling being boring.
Kaitlyn
6 of 33Performance: WWE NXT on Oct. 5, 2010.
She's so green that it will be mentioned for another award.
Aksana
7 of 33Performance: Friday Night SmackDown on Aug. 5, 2011.
Seducing Teddy Long complete with jazz music.
Maxine
8 of 33Performance: WWE NXT on Nov. 2, 2010.
She is unique and deserves to be on top, apparently.
Worst Comedy Attempt of the Year
9 of 33It's hard to be funny.
Most don't even try.
Some try with mild success.
Some fail so miserably that they deserve recognition.
John Cena
10 of 33Performance: Monday Night Raw on Dec. 20, 2010.
Because making fun of Vickie is hilarious!
Hornswoggle
11 of 33Performance: WWE NXT on Nov. 3, 2010.
Everybody loves Hornswoggle.
Jerry Lawler
12 of 33Performance: Monday Night Raw on Dec. 13, 2010.
Still hilarious to make fun of Vickie, apparently.
Worst Midcard Performance of the Year
13 of 33These are the guys who deserve to be where they are. Maybe they deserve to be lower.
Lack of talent is a real issue.
All of these stars have that problem.
They simply lack the necessary talent to succeed.
The Great Khali
14 of 33Performance: Monday Night Raw on March 14, 2011.
The worst worker in WWE today.
JTG
15 of 33Performance: WWE Superstars on June 6, 2011.
Some question why WWE fires certain stars. I wonder why WWE doesn't fire JTG.
Jacob Novak
16 of 33Performance: WWE NXT on May 17, 2011.
He tried twice to get over, but no one ever cared.
Worst Guest/ Part-Time Performance of the Year
17 of 33Sometimes WWE just makes a bad choice in bringing in stars and former performers.
These mistakes can compound and eventually lead to some truly wretched TV.
These guys should not be involved in wrestling in the capacity that they show here.
It just isn't right!
Bret Hart
18 of 33Performance: Monday Night Raw on Sept. 12, 2011.
Destroying a young talent for a cheap pop.
Booker T
19 of 33Performance: Friday Night SmackDown on Feb. 18, 2011.
Booker T when he began. He was even worse.
Michael Cole
20 of 33Performance: Extreme Rules 2011.
Cole and wrestling should never go together like this.
Worst Attempt to Be a Movie Star
21 of 33WWE tries to branch out.
They really do.
However, only The Rock will ever be a true star in Hollywood after WWE.
Each of these men tried and failed.
The Big Show
22 of 33Performance: Knucklehead
Big Show in a comedy wearing a diaper for most of the film.
Triple H
23 of 33Performance: The Chaperone
It's as bad as it looks.
Randy Orton
24 of 33Performance: That's What I Am
He'll go to the papers if he has to!
Worst Worked Match of the Year
25 of 33These matches are bad.
They are so bad that they never should have happened.
However, they did happen, so now they need to be ranked side by side to determine which is truly the worst.
I'm sorry.
Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole
26 of 33Performance: WrestleMania XXVII
The first match in the series between these two commentators.
Kaitlyn and Maxine
27 of 33Performance: WWE NXT on Oct. 19, 2010.
The epitome of NXT Season 3.
All 14 WWE Divas Working for 2 Minutes
28 of 33Performance: Monday Night Raw on June 13, 2011.
They do a can-can after....
Worst Main Event-Level Performance of the Year
29 of 33Okay, this is a bit of a toss-up.
Each of these men was involved mostly indirectly with the main event.
One as a part of Nexus. One feuding with a soon-to-be WWE champion. One facing John Cena in a Raw main event.
None were that horrible. None were great.
Just relish the fact that this is almost over.
Michael Tarver
30 of 33Performance: Monday Night Raw on Oct. 5, 2010.
Possibly the weakest link in Nexus.
Alex Riley
31 of 33Performance: Monday Night Raw on Feb. 28, 2011.
Riley at his greenest.
The Big Show
32 of 33Performance: Capitol Punishment 2011.
The only thing that happened was that Mark Henry owned Show.
Vote so These Men and Women Get the Attention They Deserve!
33 of 33If you vote, you are setting up for more people to remember these horrible moments.
Doesn't that sound great?
Shouldn't everybody watch Michael Cole wrestle and NXT Season 3?
The answer is no, but no one can pass up truly singling out the worst in WWE.
They need their awards!
Vote and we might just see Great Khali or Hornswoggle win something they deserve.
Write-ins will be accepted for a section on who was snubbed for a nomination.
Voting will end Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 at 7:00 PM with final results being posted Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
