Michael Vick Injury Video: See the Hit That Caused Eagles QB's Concussion

Michael Vick is the biggest key to the success of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, and they might have to go with their backup plan in Week 3 after watching their star go down.

In the third quarter of what eventually became a 35-31 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Vick was wrapped up by the pass rush that was present all game and fell into his offensive lineman, Todd Herremans.

The one view they show doesn’t make the hit look all the brutal, but the opposite angle shows Vick snap back and forward like a car crash, and it was obvious that he bit his tongue as well.

When Vick walked off the field and spit the blood out of his mouth, people were falling over themselves trying to speculate how much damage was done.

For the Eagles, they had no problem getting Vick out of the game and into the locker room because they know they are planning for the future and not just one game.

The team has confidence that they have backups in Mike Kafka and Vince Young that can take the helm if their star is missing a game or two.

While Philadelphia has confidence in their backups, the fans want Vick back on the field ASAP and the team needs him to be a Super Bowl contender.
