MMA is becoming a legitimate sport with legitimate athletes like—wrestling, boxing, BJJ, and kickboxing. However, their are some fighters who simply aren't legitimate in fact they are incredibly scary.

These fighters talented or not are freakish and bizarre looking and deserve special recognition for this. So here you have it the top 10 King Kong Gorilla Monsters and The Creatures From Monster Island.

10. Charles "Krazy Horse" Bennet

Charles Bennet looks like a muscular crack head who just slapped his ho for some blow. Despite my offensive attempt at writing rap lyrics this is quite possibly the best way to describe Bennet. An undersized light weight Bennet possesses good natural strength that he uses as his only means of submission defense.

Bennet who when faces a significant threat by a submission simply slams his opponent. When asked what his submission defense was Bennet said that it was his right bicep. Possesing a crazed demeanor Bennet possesses awkward boxing that is somewhat effective, and acts incredibly foolish in the ring. Possing for the camera to give his best thug look Bennet is truly a weird looking guy,

9. Emmanuel Yaroborough

Quite possibly the heaviest mma fighter to have ever competed, Yaraborough was reported towards the end of his career to have fought at as heavy as 700lbs. At one time a sumo wrestler Yaroborough has strung together two losses in his entire career, of course he has only fought three times. His first loss coming from Keith Hackney in UFC 3, his second coming from Daiju Takase.

Takase who was a lightweight danced around the ring punching at the flubber of Yaraborough and eventually made Yaroborough verbally submit to strikes. Yaroborough- Takase was  classic Japanese freak fight, something the Japanese seem to enjoy, Yaroborough was on the verge of a heart attack simply walking down to the ring.

8. Antonio "Junior" Silva

Perhaps the most talented on the list, this Brazilian stand out has at one time fough as a super heavyweight weighing 300lbs. Looking as if he is a Cro Magnon cave man with protruding forehead. Silva has a growth disorder known as  acromegaly or more commonly known as giantism, Silva's size is basically a result of non-cancerous tumors in his body that produce extra growth hormones.

Sharing this disorder are fighters Hong Man Choi, wrestler The Big Show, and former wrestler Andre The Giant. Silva who is incredibly athletic has only loss one fight in his entire career. Silva holds the heavyweight title in the now dead Elite XC.

8. Hong Man Choi

Asian kickboxing sensation Hong Man Choi, who like Silva has acromegaly, is over seven ft tall and weighs over 300lbs. Choi whose bleach blonde hair and enormous head are reminiscent to an African war mask. This frightening monster has had some success in K-1, at one point challenging Mike Tyson to a fight, but lost to Fedor Emelianenko in 2007 by first round arm bar.

7. Zuluzinho

Brazilian Monster Zuluzinho is one of the scariest looking fighters in mma. Extremely obese, Zuluzinho looks as if he was pulled out of a racist Merry Melodies cartoon and made into real life.

This Mighty Joe Young family has had a legendary rivalry with the Gracies, in which his father and Helio Gracie had supposedly fought a million years ago. Displaying weak skills, Zuluzinho was pounded into next week by Fedor Emelianenko in 2005.

6. Eric "Butterbean" Esch

This strange, short and fat fighter is a golden gloves champion who has not made a very good transistion to mma or kickboxing. Having a notable loss to Genki Sudo, Esch seems to be a big hit in Japanese freak fights. Having at one time mauling Johnny Knoxville in Jackass: The Movie, Esch looks like a shorter fatter version of Michael Chiklis from the Shield.

5. Ricardo Morais

In the documentary The Smashing MachineMorais had appeared as Renzo's Gracie's personal bodyguard. A tall awkward looking Trauma movie monster Morais, whos ring name is "The Mutant," was an legendary vale tudo fighter in the early nineties in which he won the Absolute Fighting Championships I tournament.

However, with a transistion to the big leagues of Pride Morais was humbly defeated by first round knockout to a young Aleksander Emelianenko.

4. Aleksander "The Grim Reaper" Emelianenko
