John Morrison and WWE: Why He Belongs in the Mid Card Right Now

While I continue my praise towards Mark Henry, my negative side continues to focus on John Morrison as of late.

I haven't always been this sour towards him, but during the past few years, he has shown me a few things.

1. He is not improving. During 2009 on Smackdown, he really had a chance to shine, and he did. Sadly, the shine was just the usual "John Morrision" shine. Nothing special.

2. The crowds are there, but do not believe in him. He does get good pops, and likely sells a good amount of merchandise. Not tons, but a nice amount, I'd bet.

However, they feel like hollow cheers. Almost like "Yeah, we have to root for him, he is a good guy." He needs to get a crowd to believe in him and do it consistently.

3. His backstage issues just never seem to end. Even when Melina was fired, what did Morrison do?

Of course, he took to Twitter—why not? That is what big top stars do all day, right? He praised Melina up and down, while at the same time undercutting WWE.

You know? The company paying his rent, food on his table, and putting clothes on his back! Bad move. Social media is such a great tool, but it has to be used correctly.

Again, I used to be a big Morrison fan. Used to be, when it looked like he actually cared to be there every night. Now, he doesn't look like he cares.

I hope I am wrong, but he reminds me a few others—just showing up, doing his thing, and hopping on Twitter after the show, goes home and waits for the house show loop to begin.

I want to see some fire.

I want to see some passion.

Show me you deserve the big push everyone keeps clamoring for!

On top of all that, I leave you with two more points to think about:

1. This is a link from four years ago where it covered John Morrison being suspended for drug use.

Now, if you look at the list of people that have failed drug tests, a lot of big names are on there. A lot more names bigger than John Morrision.

It is not the end of the world for someone's career when they are suspended. HOWEVER, it still is a black mark against him, whether anyone wants to argue it or not. Just something to ponder...

2. This is a report pertaining to John Morrison's contract expiring in a few months. Now, this story is a little bit more recent.

I am not going to dig into any Melina rumors. We all know what is out there, so let's move on. I am also not going to touch on the Trish/Morrison rumors from Mania this year. We have all beat those stories to death.

This report is about John Morrison's expiring contract. In a few months, it will end. Will WWE bring him back?

Will they let Morrison walk, just like his girl friend?

Only time will tell, but this is not shocking to me. it shouldn't be shocking to anyone. I have been talking about two things for the past month.

First, Mark Henry is the man, and deserves all the credit in the world right now.

Second, backstage politics are much more important than what happens in front of the camera. Too bad for Morrison, he may not be in front of the camera for too much longer...
