TCU was undefeated last season...undefeated. My hat is off to Gary Patterson. In FBS football only Auburn can claim the same undefeated record last season as the Frogs. Auburn.

So what is TCU football? TCU football is hardcore, hard-nosed, Texas football. Make no mistake about it. The Frogs will bring their A-game all season long.

The beauty is that Baylor will bring it right back. There is nothing like watching two football teams in the heart of Texas go at it.

I think the entire football community liked seeing how much Baylor has improved recently. Unfortunately, the Bears were only 7-6. Baylor was 36th in offense and 89th in defense. That will not be good enough against TCU.

TCU was 13-0. The frogs were first in total defense and fourth in total offense. No wonder they were undefeated. But Dalton is gone. Trying his hand in the NFL with the Bengals. QB duties go to Casey Pachall who certainly will be feeling the pressure. Pachall was a four-star recruit and rated as a top 250 player in the nation. Will he be ready? Of course he will, it's Gary Paterson.

But let's not be too quick to dismiss Baylor. How about Robert Griffin III? Griffin III had 3,501 yards last season. Phenomenal. Where is the defense? With that kind of passing Baylor should have had more in the Ws column.

Last year Baylor had one game that was worse than the rest. It was against TCU and it was a 45-10 loss. Dalton is gone, and Griffin III is exceptional.

My prediction is that TCU will win in a much closer game. 28-21.
