According to the online magazine Crunch Sports, Inter Milan are expressing an interest in Javier Mascherano. The news about Inter Milan wanting Mascherano comes in the light of Cesc Fabregas arriving at Barca.

Inter Milan are hoping to use the cash that they received after selling Samuel Eto'o to the Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala. At the same time, there are rumors of Diego Forlan leaving Atletico Madrid for Inter Milan.

The online magazine Goal  reported on a declaration that Forlan made before to the Italian Sports magazine La Gazzetta dello Sport. Forlan said that he received an offer from Inter Milan and is interested in moving to the Nerazurri.

I feel that Mascherano is going to be behind Fabregas and Sergio Busquets in the Barca order. The end result is that Mascherano will eventually head towards Inter Milan if Forlan declines the team's offer.

If Forlan signs with Inter Milan, Mascherano will probably remain in Barca and will then be traded to another club during the January 2012 transfer window. It remains to be seen what will transpire.
