Three legends returning to the ring on the same night? Improbable but possible.

The three legends in question are The Rock, who is already confirmed for his sensational in-ring return, Mick Foley and the ''Texas Rattlesnake,'' Stone Cold Steve Austin.

While we all know that The Rock will be facing John Cena, rumors regarding the other two have been surfacing a lot recently.

As a matter of fact, Austin said in an interview earlier this week that he is a big fan of the Straight Edge Superstar, CM Punk.

But more importantly, he stated that if he was to wrestle again, it would be against none other than CM Punk.

When asked if the match would take place at next year's ''Grandaddy of 'Em All,'' Austin simply when silent, probably with his trademark smirk all over his face!

If you ask me, Austin basically set down a challenge to Vince McMahon and said, ''Come and get me.''

With a gun pointed to my head, I would say the match will happen, but whether or not it's in Miami next year remains to be seen.

This match is already set, will the other two follow suit?
This match is already set, will the other two follow suit?

The reasons why I find it unlikely that it will happen next year are simple:

  • Punk and Triple H will probably come to a head at Wrestlemania XXVIII.
  • It would be stupid of WWE to have Austin, The Rock and potentially Foley return on the same card, why not spread it out?

Now, onto ''Mrs. Foley's baby boy.''

As we all know, Foley was released by TNA or Impact Wrestling or whatever the correct name is.

Now, according to rumors, there was a clause in his contract that stated he couldn't appear on WWE television until his contract would have expired, which is in September.

Recent rumors have surfaced that WWE officials are looking to have Foley wrestle in a top match in Miami next year.

That, coupled with rumors of ''The Hardcore Legend's'' possible Hall of Fame induction, more or less confirm that there is at least some interest from both parties.

Foley himself said that after WWE promoted his book while he was in TNA, that he would never turn down an offer to be inducted in the Hall of Fame should it be extended to him.

I think there is a much better chance of Foley wrestling at next year's event than there is of Austin returning to the ring.

Foley will likely be inducted into the Hall of Fame the night before Wrestlemania, then have his match billed as his ''send-off.''

So, gun to my head, I think we'll see Foley wrestle at Mania XXVIII, coupled with a Hall of Fame induction, and we'll see Austin vs. CM Punk at Wrestlemania XXIX.

What do you think?
