Denver Broncos QB Battle Between Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow Will Ruin Season
You can make the argument that the 2011 Denver Broncos' season is already over.
That’s what happens when an entire fanbase wants one guy to be the starting QB while the actual team and coaches want another one.
Tim Tebow is one of the most famous players in the NFL—never mind the fact he has started a grand total of three games. His following crosses state lines across the country and the Tebow bandwagon is filled to capacity.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The fans out in Denver have sipped the Kool-Aid and now believe Tebow is the savior to their failing franchise.
But it’s hard to save a team when you struggle to execute a simple five-step drop. Tebow’s lack of polished mechanics has been all over the news lately and it’s undisputed that Tebow still has a long way to go.
Kyle Orton is not sexy or flashy; in fact, you could call him boring. His style of play emphasizes taking care of the football and moving the chains. He was statically one of the best QBs in the entire league despite having an awful running game. But fans don’t trust him in the clutch and don’t believe he is capable of anything better than the 8-8 record he posted in 2009.
What’s the point of throwing Orton out there when his ceiling is mediocrity?
Yet teammates such as receiver Brandon Lloyd have admitted publicly how angry the team would be if they didn’t start the veteran. That’s how big the gap is between the two.
Denver sports talk radio sounds more like politics these days…you either are on board with Tebow and back all of his actions or vice versa with Orton.
It’s engulfing training camp out at Dove Valley and Tebow admitted to being effected by the situation. Nobody is talking about No. 2 overall pick LB Von Miller, or any of the other free-agent signings they made.
It’s all about Orton vs Tebow.
Orton is the current No. 1 on the depth chart and will likely start the season there, but as soon as he throws a fourth-quarter INT the crowd will be screaming for Tebow. How much of a leash will Orton have? What if they bench him and Tebow stinks up the joint even worse? Is Brady Quinn the answer?
There is no easy solution to this polarizing question and now the Broncos are left with two QBs that both think they are deserving of the starting nod.
